Tuning Software
Hi all
What software is being used to tune the 55 engines? I am interested in DIY tuning. I am an engineer and have a Dyno, wide band etc.
e.g.
Is it possible using the developer STAR?
Another piece of MB software?
Aftermarket software?
Manual chip reflash?
Yes I did a search but didn't find specific info other than a whole bunch of places/people who can do the tuning.

Man good luck bro. That secret is guarded more than the Pentagon.
I searched for years and all I could come up with is the ungodly expensive Dimsport stuff.
Few times I heard that people are using Winols but then you gotta find the maps on the ECU which are supposed to be a needle in a haystack.
Many cars you can read the ECU file for tuning from the OBD2 port. Not old Benz. You can flash it OBD2 but you can't read the file. Gotta pull the ECU for that. Fun fun.
Really sucks too. Buddy of mine has a Caddy CTS and just tunes and tunes his every day with that chevy software that is easily accessible.
