Intake air temps with Kiwi wifi....new pump
I received my kiwi wifi on Friday and wanted to look at my IAT's to see if my intercooler pump was working efficiently. This is what I found.
This first picture was on the highway crusing at 65mph.
Ambient temp =82 F
HOLY CRAP I said. I was questioning the REV 2 software. So i decided to replace my OEM bosch pump with cm30 Johnson pump. I changed it out and found same results. IAT were still high. I questioned the solder job I did and cut the connections. Tested the the pump with a separate 12 v battery i had and could tell the pump turned on. So i tested the wires coming from the car to the pump. NO voltage. Car was on ramps in drive way and running after a 10 min run. I would think the pump would be on. I searched and called Shardul for some input. I checked fuses and found a relay in the trunk fuse location at the bottom someone suspected in an old thread. I went to benz dealer and bought 15$ relay replacement. Put the relay in and still no power to pump. I finally gave up and wired the pump to ecu 12v power when car comes on. I found this location from another thread on here.
Pump is coming on now and look at these IAT temps
ambient air temp 80-82 degrees.
I did some searching today and some say the oem wiring only comes on when the supercharger kicks on. I could not find a definite answer. My car is 2005.

Also, last time I bled the H/E, water started to come out AS SOON as I started the engine. And it was cold.

Noticed this too when I was last at the strip. When making my way back to the staging lines IAT's would stay static at ~40-50 over driving @ 15mph. Once i jab the throttle and the S/C engages (till about 25mph), I'd instantly see it start dropping(thanks ECU). Now I just have it wired with another relay to come on with key so coolant still circulates when at a standstill.

I have used the actuation section of the ME to manually turn the pump on, so it stands to reason that the parameters can be changed. That said, I too blip the throttle if I want the pump to engage, but my temps normally run a few degrees above ambient and I don't think I have ever seen them temps much above 145. When I get back to Germany in July I'll make a few runs into the 180+ MPH and see what the DashDaq says

If you are stuck in the staging lane heat soaked to hell waiting to run your car I would jab the throttle as you get closer to the lanes when possible.
I was sitting at like 110 one night and actually made a u turn and left the staging lanes to coast my car up and down the parking lot because my temps were 50 above ambient just sitting in trafic for 20 min waiting to run.

Are you sure your temps aren't dropping simply because there is a huge rush of air coming in vs. air moving slowly at part throttle? I say this because I have the same thing happen but the drop is INSTANTANEOUS which I find to quick for it to be just the pump.

Try this people
Go on a beat run and then park your car for 5 min.
Start car and look at your temps(should be around 110)
Drive 5mph and jab the throttle to engage the supercharger and then left off the thottle and just coast.
Your temps will drop right when the sc kicks on.
