My 2005 E55 I just bought this weekend
Hey guys I just picked up my first MB this weekend. I drove 5 hours each way to pick up this 2005 E55 in flint gray with 36k miles. I had been looking for one for a while and could not find them in my area with less then 50k miles so I had to travel to get it but I am sooo happy I did. This car is a whole other form of speed. I have had multiple muscle cars and I currently have a built 2003 Cobra with 20 psi and it is just such a different animal compared to the E55. When I am going 120 mph in my Cobra, I know I am going 100+ MPH. At 120 mph in the E55 it tells me "ok now I am getting comfortable so lets start going fast". It is just such a refined speed. This is going to my new daily driver, but will only get about 5 miles a day since I have such a short commute. I just got out of a Corvette before this and I do not think I will ever not have a AMG in my garage.
I am all over this forum trying to absorb as much information as possible and blown away by the amount o knowledge some of you guys have on these cars. It is kinda like me and Ford Mustangs! I am slowly putting together a list of what I want to do step by step. Tomorrow it gets 20% all the way around and am looking at having the tail lights and all marker lights tinted at my dads body shop with a black/clear mix. I am set on doing a basic pulley/belt/intake/tune on it within the next 30 days I am just unsure of which company to go with and more important who to tune it. Enough with my rambling here are a couple pics from my phone

I ended up paying for I wanted because I could not find anything in my area with less then 50-60+ miles and where still $25k.
Yes it was the one from Martin in PA. I ended up paying $29200 for the car plus tax/tags. I am happy with it

Work in process. 347 with eagle internals, 170 cc aluminum heads, Blower cam, redneck performance built C4 with manual valve body and trans brake, powerdyne supercharged with 8 psi, going to a 76mm MP turbo very soon.

Where in VA are you located? I am in the Hampton roads area for a few more days for work and if you are close I would love to check it out and get a ride since I am in the market for one for later this year.
