Try reading your maint. book or calling MB once again. Maybe why you got em on the phone you can check on the price of a tranny and close your other worthless post.

ummm scheduled maint. and dont beat the **** out of it. Generally speaking 50k isnt high mileage.

What is there for general maintenance

engine oil, fuel filter, coolant flush, check ic pump, sc belt, idler pulley, clean/replace intake filters, brake fluid/pads/rotors. Transmission oil/Diff oil ... not sure if they are lifetime, all I know is a lot of people who changed them fluids on their 5,6,7 series bmws, ended up having transmission/diff problems, personally I dont feel comfortable changing them, even though AMG's are completely diff...

just change the oil... FYI the blue engine coolant from the factory is good for 15 yrs... (you can't even get it in the states) plugs are good for 5yrs or 100k miles,, ( plugs don't really go bad, but the suppressors do) belts are good to 100k, brake fluid service every 2 yrs ( you got sbc,, going to need the SDS for that ),,, engine air filters every 40k,,, don't worry about the low pressure heat exhange pump.. (it's a POS anyway and will fail at some point )
