Bike Race in the highway against my E55
First I was heading in I75 North sunday morning heading to a track event, I cruised by a nice 600cc bike...I was cruising at about 85mph more or less. I looked at him and make him a sign with my hand to lets go and have some fun...he shaked his head..( like no no I dont want to waste my time ) and then I saw him downshift and I was out of there, all the way til 140 and he was about 1 car length behind me. He then gave up. He tried again and same deal...He couldnt believe it...( I had 2 passengers)
Today, I was heading to a business meeting in the highway and I found another newer model 600cc bike, this time we went from 90mph all the way til 140 and same deal. This time I pulled harder on the bike..He tried to jump me and by 120mph I was out of there again. It was a fun day of racing bikes in the highway.
( PS: I used to be undefeated by Most Hayabusas in Orlando in my Supra which had 1060HP) I love their confusion in their faces when they can't understand how the heck a 4 door beat a bike.
Thought I would share this story with most of us that have E55's.

sorry, but what is a "Gas Guzzler" ?
Oh and about killing a bike...
i dont know why or how, but a old Honda CBR was right beside me at the fastway (no autobahn).
well he wanted at the left track and he played a bit with the gas while we waited for the Green Pill...err... Light![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
then the lights turned green and we both accelerated afap. at 80 km/h i lowered the gas cause he had to move on my track. well he looked a little bit confused cause he couldnt understand how a small car can acclerate so fast.
well i didnt kill a Hayabusa... but well... its the feeling, i was driving to my GF with a big fat smile in my face

Very idiotic that they impose this tax only on passenger cars and not trucks, SUV's or Vans. A Truck or SUV with big engine and HP and low gas mileage rating gets a pass on the tax.
A car that gets 20 MPG is has gas guzzler tax but a SUV with 10 MPG does not get levied the extra tax. Go Figure!

Last night while driving my E55 I felt the urge to race a bike I saw on the freeway. I Wonder Why? Thanks 03E55AMG.

Guys
A 600cc sport bike is much harder to get off the line than a car and still manages LOW 11sec 1/4mile times. A 750 runs in the low 10's these days.
Don't confuse a bike rider giving the gas a squirt, with a real race because you are kidding yourselves.
There is NO ONE on this board whose car could even come close to my Ducati 999 and the only mod I have is the race exhaust system. (The 10sec Supra could keep up, but that's about all).
Sorry, but I thought a reality check was in order here.

"Confused bike owner????"
There are certainly faster accelerating bikes than the 999 such as a Hyabusa, R1 or Gixxer 1000, but I said that it would eat any CAR on this board.
I don't know of any current 600 sport bike that can't cut a low 11 these days, what are you honestly expecting out of your E55??
You then want to quote power to weight ratios??
My Ducati produces 121hp at the rear wheel and weighs 190kg wet.
My E55 produces approx 400hp at the rear wheel and weighs 1850kg. Hmmmm, which has the better power to weight ratio??
Your Supra could do 9's on street tyres then I take it to easily run with a superbike.
A lack of aerodynamics does give cars an advantage over approx 150mph, but given that most cars are restricted to this limit, it is not even relevant.
The slowest part of riding a bike is the take off. From a rolling start you remove this disadvantage.
If you used to drag a 1000hp Supra street car as you say, thyan you would be very familiar with the bog stock bikes cutting much faster times than you down the quarter at the meetings you attended.
