Jon:
I can't wait to see how you customize the GT-R's interior. You did an amazing job on the SL65 so I am sure your finishing touches will be just right.

Congrats, that is a fantastic addition to your garage.
You will not be sorry...... My only advice is to get the best radar/laser jammer on the market because this car really stands out in red.
BTW, hide the keys from that 16yo.

BTW...Are those BBS on your GTR? I was looking at the RS-GT and CH...but the final decision won't be done until the midpipe and tune...

Guys...I am chomping at the bit to get behind the wheel! Rock...thanks for the advice...already looking into the Passport 9500ci. I have the Passport 9500ix in my Suburban and SL and love it. Still kind of searching for the right laser jammer, though. I've heard some good things about Laser Interceptor and Blinder but nothing first hand.

AMGfan I think these would look awesome on your GT-R.
Very strong and very lightweight.

Wow Jon, Looks like a new car project every few months for you.
Congratulations, on the beginning of your red phase!

I'm lurking now on NATGROC until my **** is sitting in the GTR. I have been PM the heck out of some vendors though regarding mods...

AMG... Congrats on the new toy! FWIW, another vote for BBM's.. I have LM's on my Viper and they are strong as hell.. (I've tested them, PM for story).. but HRE's have always been a great wheel to me in terms of strength and aesthetics. Good luck with your wheel choice and interior!

I want to choose right for me...I won't autocross the GTR but will take it to the 1/4 mile. Most of my seat time will be street driving. I love the deep concave look but have found they are heavier than I thought. I want them aesthetically pleasing (simple and tasteful) but still lightweight and strong.
The tire selection is another tricky thing I need to research a lot more. I'd like a wider track but not throw of the VDC but the options other than the Dunlop run flats that are stock isn't as plentiful as I thought considering the heft of the vehicle...but then again I am not tracking the car, too.
However, I will right off the bat add some spacers (15mm up and 20mm) to flush up the OE wheel setup.

If you're interested, I have a new in the box quad laser interceptor that I bought when I first picked up the 55 (it was bought direct from the US distributor). I bought it on 6-8-09 but never opened it or installed it. At the time there was a group buy for MBW members and I paid 1075.00 (I can forward you the emails) and currently on their website they are selling for 1099.00; I was thinking 600.00 (I'll take care of the shipping). Let me know.
Love the new purchase and congrads again!!!!!
