Cold weather, rain, and lack of tools and garage plays a part. If it's as easy as you say it is I may try it on a warmer day.
Frankly, after going with a 35R kit on the Evo and not seeing a garage, I'm tired of wrenching and rather spend a few bucks and have the peace of mind. Not seeing near $300 though, that's a joke of a price.

Haha, I took it apart one more time because had to install the shims... 30 mins I had the clutch off, shimmed, and reinstalled everything! LOL, pro at it now More $ you save installing mods, more $ you have putting towards new mods. Well thats the way I look at it lol

Called a few places locally to have a pump and possibly a HE installed, and I nearly burst out laughing when they told me costs... The best was, they need the car for 2 days, about 12 hours of work @ shop hourly rate, so about $1000 plus tax and misc shop materials rofl... I have a bit of background with mechanics so I guess that helps... But with the DIY's the gurus put togeather on here help A LOT, along with All data lol

Install pump 1 hour TOPS
Remove bumper/Install bumper 1 hour
Remove/install HE 2 hours max??
Bleed system 10-15 mins

4 hours okay, but defiantly not 12 LOL

i just ordered myself one. Slowly gathering all my parts and getting it done once i collect it all. Heat exchanger is next, probably the EC or PLM one, then pulley and headers.

Thats weird that youd bring that up, actually happened to us, we had it in for two new front wheels & tires and when my Dad went to go get it they were launching it down the service bay like it was a drag strip... haven't seen them since.

So is this pump comparable or better than the Johnson CM30?

If you do a search, someone compared them one on one, and concluded that there almost identical. Although there was no pressure, just free flow.

Mine showed up today as well.

novae500 - you sound just like me. I'm a friggin' "mod collector" while I wait on my damn lt headers.

The collection of mods sitting in my garage now stands at:

1) 180 mm eurocharged pulley
2) K&N drop in's (ooops...I actually threw those in last weekend)
3) eurocharged heat exchanger
4) new bosch pump
5) matte black 19" 5 star reps
6) Stage II Jerry tune (not in my garage per se...but waiting)
6) Floored Fab Long Tube Headers. Oh snap! Just kidding. Those haven't shown up and it's been over 5 months now. (paid for them on 1/17)

And I just put a bid in on the lowering links on ebay today. (I made an offer just to see what would happen)

Thank god I have the GS 400 that I can tinker with (that beast needs tons of stuff done...it doesn't cost diddly...it's just hard to find)
