I understand my car is not a w211 but there are a lot more parts and car gurus here that might be able to help me. Let me explain what I need and what happened.
So recently I went on a Mustang Dyno and I had some issues with the shop.
The shop operator did not tie down my car correctly on the dyno, he ended up strapping my car by chains incorrectly. After tightening it and letting my car roll on the dyno it pulled out my links. After the links popped out, my car pretty much got slammed onto the dyno (while rolling). We were wondering why my car was so low on the dyno... But during all the confusion the operator continued to let my car roll on drive whle on the dyno...
In the end the exhaust was pushed on to the Axle and Driveshaft and pretty much bored out 3 holes in my custom exhaust.
The shop denies any resonsibility since they said it is not their responsibility to know where to strap the car.
Some of the parts can be fixed and maybe salvaged but in the meantime I need the following parts...
1.) New Drive Shaft
2.) Inner CV Joints Bearings (By the rear axle) x2
3.) Boot Kit (Comes With Retainer Kit, Axle Bolts, Nut, etc..) x2
If anybody here can help me out with the parts it would really help me out.
I just want my car to be fixed first then I'll deal with the legal issues after instead of having things stalled.
At the moment I priced everything out at the dealership...
1.) $1800
2.) $510 each (x2)
3.) $100 each (x2)
Everything has to be ordered from Germany...
Thanks everyone and I hope I can get this issue sorted out soon.
Cheers

I'm sorry but how is this NOT the shops fault? You took it there to have it dyno'd and it should be 100% their responsibility to make SURE stuff like this doesnt happen. I'd sue them for the damages.

I will go into details another day; but, in the meantime I want my car up and running before dealing with this crap.
At the end of the day, the shop is run by a good group of people its just unfortunate when their operator can't do things correctly the consumer takes the blame. Either way, that's all I'm going to say about the dyno.
Hopefully someone on the board can source some parts for me!
PLEASEE!

You can check out the part out section to see if anyone has these parts. It sucks to hear about this.
How is it not there fault?Iv had my car on the dyno many times and the shop owner would tripple check everything under the car to make sure she was on there right.
100% shops fault.

Thanks bud, I already did. One member was parting out a 2004 s55 amg but he never replied any PM's since April. So that possibility is out the window.
Well the shop claims that they can not confirm ALL the damage done to my car was caused by the dyno. Pretty much if anything happened on the dyno (his example: If you blow your tire on my dyno and breaks a quarter panel we won't be responsible for the damage) and you know what? I totally agree with that...
But, my issue is that the car wasn't even prepped properly and was wrongly setup on the dyno causing the damage. I understand if my car had an issue causing the links to fall out but I'm not willing to take the blame when the tech does not have the sufficient knowledge to strap my car down properly.
Either way, that's all I want to talk about in regards to the dyno. I'm just so fed up and angry about all this. My main priority is to get my car fixed and running then i'll deal with this issue after.
Thanks for the concern guys, really appreciate it!

I'll ask around at my buddies shop and see if they have anything or know a lead to source those parts for you, it freakin sucks when the incompetence of the operator put you in a messed up situation. In the meantime, you might want to contact www.driveshaftshop.com, I ran there stuff on my STI the quality of their axles were excellent. I'm sure they can do something for you if you don't find any of the OEM parts. They have great customer service as well.

Ah man, that just sucks buddy. I know a couple of large junk yards in town and know the owners of one. I will ask about a w220 as a shot in the dark.

lol **** that place. If they are saying it's not their fault not knowing where to strap it, what in the hell did they strap it down without explaining some of the dangers that might happen from doing so? Why? Because they thought they did know where, and obviously some hunyuck did it wrong, ****ed up your shiat and now they deny responsibility? **** them.

Hey I am really sorry to hear the bad news, I know of a couple of places in the U.S that can get you a better deal, so let me know if you dont mind cross border shopping.
But as far as Canada goes $500 will get you a used one off of a 2005 with low K from Centre de Recyclage St Bruno inc. Quebec,Ontario. 450 653 3320 or 514 866 4041.
Hope that helps. Places in the U.S have it for a couple hundred cheaper but, then you have shipping to worry about, let me know. Take Care and I hope it all works out.
and if that shop is liable for the damage, be sure to seek it out. Too often are people who take advantage/screw up, let off the hook to do it again, because of victims kind soft hearts and ah dont worry about it, its okay, attitudes.
If they screwed up and are being asses, make sure you get taken care of .

But yah I'll PM you and see what you found so far! Thanks again!
Don't worry after I figure out all the costs I'll go get my money! Honestly, the money is not the main issue here; in the end, yes, it's a pain to cough up the dough but what happened already happened... I'm just choked the business ethic is just not there. So that's why i'm seeking for the funds!
