Well..... CTS-V is 6.2 Supercharged ! Its like our E63 adding SC......
Its not even fair to compare a 5.5SC to 6.2SC even CTS is a bit heavier.
Brand new CTS-V MSRP only $63k !!! its very cheap compare to the E AMG

They are absolutely comparable. All cars will have there differences, but both of these are sedans with *****. That's all that really matters.

Yes but just make the engine basically bigger its not advancing technology at all. Bigger engine + SC. And now the new 5.5TT might be comparable. Remember, the first E55K was in 2003 not even in the same generation to the new CTS-V

I couldn't care less that the 6.2L V8 in the CTS-V is "old" technology... there are a ton of low cost performance options out there. My CTS-V's headers, ECM/TCM tunes, H/E, lower 9.55 pulley, 160 deg T-stat, and CAI cost under $5K installed. I can definitely see owning the CTS-V outside of a warranty. As opposed to my CL65, if something went catastrophically wrong with the engine you were better off financially junking it and buying another CL65 than replacing the engine.

BTW, Nissan of Frederick is sponsoring a BBQ/run for GT-R/s 6/18. I should be heading to that. Maybe you should stop by.

As for technology...who cares? Winning matters to me more that the reason why I won. I'd take the simpler engine any day. As long as it makes the same power, I don't care how they do it.

I guess it's really not fair to through the Panamera's TT 4.8L into the mix. Now that's just a mean thing to do. That motor is so small compared to the other two.

So the 5.4L SC is not comparable but the 5.5TT is? They are both just as different to the 6.2SC of the CTS. Heck, stock vs. stock the E55 is not even much slower than a CTS-V, they are pretty darn close if you ask me. But the CTS-V is simply faster.

Ofcourse the 5.5TT is comparable to the 6.2SC. They are the same generation competition car. 5.4SC has 8 years different compare to the new 5.5TT. What mean is 6,2SC should be faster or more power than the number show. And we are talking about Stock vs Stock ok ?! technology always matter.
