Earlier today, my friend came by to show me his new mufflers on his c63, when i asked what type they were, he told me they were magnaflows.

at first i thought, why would you put magnaflows on a AMG, but when i heard it, it sounded mad nice.

that being said, i wanted to ask everyone what their opinion is, what would you think about magnaflow mufflers on an w211 e63?!

I have a custom set of magnaflows on my e55. They sound quite well when installed with the appropriate x pipe. People around town know when I roll out that my E isn't playing around!

i got a magnaflow on my c32 and it sounds great. not to loud like my old ws6 with slp loudmouth, but just enough throaty growl to sound aggressive. it really dosent matter who makes the exhaust. all that matters is the results.

im sorry, im new to modding! but how does this all work? i mean i know to just replace the mufflers, but where does the x pipe go? and which muffler did you buy?

They cant void your entire warranty for modding your exhaust. If they want to be asses, they can refuse to fix a certain problem because it was the direct cause of your modification. E.G. deleting your res and 2nd cats, somehowwwwwwww ruins your CATS... they will say sorry its because of your exhaust mods, BUT if your AC stops working, or your transmission fails, they cant blame the exhaust mod for that obviously. Dealerships just try to **** with everyone, I learned not to take their **** and they will respect you LOL... that and get on the good side of some service adviser.

On lease, end of the term ya they most likely would say bring the car back to stock etc etc. But on a financed or bought car... they can **** themselves lol.

If I like the sound of the e63 mufflers on my 55... you will LOVE the sound on the 63, especially because of the bigger displacement it will sound badass! Its perfect quiet on normally driving, nice European sound on throttle, and on wot its

Heres video of them on my 55...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVM53Ul_bvE

My setup is 2nd cat delete, and xpipe in place, resonator delete, e63 mufflers. If you want to experiment a bit, just delete the rear resonator first and see how you like the sound.

All the 63 needs is a resonator and sec cat delete to sound badass like tbal said.. However the 55 is different, thats why I went with magnaflows.. Not too loud, but at WOT it really wakes up.

Man you cant make any decisions for yourself huh... Do the resonator and secondary cat delete.. You will most likely be happy with that.. If not, go the muffler route..

I would recommend my setup.

PLM Headers
2nd cat delete, 3" mid pipes
Stock Resonator removed and replaced with Magnaflow 3" dual/dual X muffler
Stock CLS mufflers

Result:

1. Crusing is barely louder than stock, with deep throaty growl
2. Full throttle sounds like Satan and Thor Gang-banging a dragon...

Sounds sick! The stock cls55/63 exhaust with just resonator delete sounds deadly too.

Eurocharged exhaust for the win! I had magnaflow before and Eurocharged is 20 times better sounding. Here's some clips.
