This kind of made me laugh. My two primary cars are an E55 wagon and a Porsche 996TT.
The E55 is a MUCH bigger rush off the line. I'm not disappointed at all.

We hear alot from members who feel their car is a true beast, but we rarely hear from members who feel that their car just doesn't measure up. Are any of you disappointed in your car's performance and , if so, why? Did you lose to a stock M5, vette, etc. or are you so blown away by stories and videos posted by others that you feel your car just doesn't measure up? I have a strong suspicion that it is the latter and that many suffer from E55 envy.
Coz' my answer is no.

Doesn't look like the OP got the answers he was looking for. I am perfectly happy with my E55... The only thing I would trade it in on is a 2012 CLS 63... It's everything I want in a four-door sedan!

I still hold that each 55 engine sets up different and the ones with lower compression just don't slay at the track like the others. Strong as my motor is, she is one of the lower compression setups and for that ONLY I am a bit bummed. She most likely will never be a 10 sec car like some. Otherwise, the greatest I have ever owned until I try the twin turny soon.

Haeelll no. I drove my car round trip 400 miles this past week, and I loved it. It's a very special car - I don't feel exhausted driving for long periods of time, like I do in other cars.
It's poised, smooth, planted and fast. PLUS for the 400 mile trip, I averaged 24mpg! Less than one tank of gas. I did better than I had thought.
Funny to see people race up on my a$$, and then fall waaaaaayyy back, not wanting to mess with me, after they see the AMG badge.

Disappointed? Certainly not! Sometimes wonder what a seven speed transmission might add to performance but then I understand they may not be as reliable as our five speed models...

As stated above, there is a lot of natural variability in the performance of our cars and some of us (me included) may have been disappointed that our cars did not measure up to many of the beasts in this forum. This is not to say I do not get a hard on every time I accelerate from a light (and believe me it is not as easy to get a hard on when your 63 versus 20 something). Its just that I thouight my car was below average and I wondered how many others felt the same way. That is why I went with the K1 mod and the improvement has been amazing, which makes me think much of the problem may have been with the ECU.

All AMGs will have the MCT now anyway. Which is kinda too bad, they really should get the DCT that the SLS has. It's a true dual clutch.
