Glad to hear you got your system sorted out, and no it never ends that's the whole fun of it all. Either way the meth is keeping your timming up but the afr is fat if you stack the pulley will you tune for the meth? In going to try a 30 dry shot to pump up the afr.

E55greasemonkey, glad to hear it's working out. Are your meth lines braided lines or are they the quick connect lines? Could you post pic of your set?

The only problem is, now that the IAT's are under control, I am considering added a 168 crank pulley...I've been eyeing the new Weistec pulley...Which may start a vicious circle of fighting IAT's again, and dialing the system back in for the higher boost. It just never ends does it?

This place is a joke.
(Continued)
Meth off that iat hits 160F.
Not sure when I will get to the track to see what it does for my times.
This is DO1 pre-sc and DO 3 post IC with pump pressure turned to Max. 80/20 water/meth

That's awesome. When mine is back up, I really need to try the 80/20 to prevent the bog

Thanks Hulk.
I will try some 75/25 next week just to see how it does, the tank is almost empty again.
Once in a while I have a very slight bog if I'm in the wrong gear (too low rpms) and get too heavy on the throttle. I would still like some way to control the injection other than simply boost preesure, at least an RPM window.
FWIW the DO3 with the pump turned up is equivalent to a DO5
at standard pressure.

Ya like we spoke about I don't like that boost pressure switch, I think 80 water and 20 meth is really good, some might even goto 90/10 but more water means smaller nozzle

Bramage, you triggering your meth with ZT2? I had a Snow Performance meth on my CLS and it was triggered by boost and RPM, with a sliding scale of the ratio for each. Worked great!
Has anyone tried installing dual meth nozzles in the surge tanks? I'd think if you place them as near to the S/C outlet as possible, it would be a reasonably simple install and work well.

Damn...forgot about that pesky sensor. Anyone know the specs on it? I wonder if you could bypass it, feeding the ECU the signal from the ZT2 sensor, which I have plumbed into the surge tank.
I'd also like to attempt a trial at feeding the ECU the ZT2 wideband data, in lieu of stock sensors.

My setup is similar to Bramage's. We have the alarm module for the ZT2 that triggers meth. You can set a warning based on any combination of signals received by the ZT2. I've got mine set at 8 psi, 80% TPS, and RPM > 2600. I had the RPM set lower before, but it was triggering too easily and I was going through the mixture too fast.

Bumping old thread. I was dead set on adding methanol to go with my killer chiller but now I'm not sure. So you guys all seem to get some bogging at times ? That would be very annoying with certain types of driving I would think. Bummer. I wonder if you could run a tiny shot of N20 to cool things down. If it was possible to do like a 10 shot or something I bet it would still really help IATs.

I've used -20F washer fluid, but switched to VP M1 and distilled water at a 50-50 by volume mix. Not sure how consistent the washer fluid ratios will be.

I haven't noticed any bogging with the HFS-3 I have installed. It uses IDC to inject, and ramps up flow proportional to IDC, which seems to me to be a much better method than most other systems out there.

Update, I will be removing my devilsown meth system in the future, and will go with a killer chiller and a 35 wet shot of nitrous. Per Eurocharged, you don't need to tune for such a small shot. It will be the ultimate cooling setup. My d.o. system is a piece of crap. The braided lines have sleeves in the ends that are not stainless. They have rusted from the meth, causing the particles to allow the solenoid to stick open, thus the engine drawing meth at idle, luckily I noticed before a hydrolock. The rust has also clogged all the screens/filters at the nozzles. I'm done with it. The plastic lines may have been a better option.
