Getting a brake job done soon... Does this sound right to you guys?
I did some research here... and I think this is what Im getting. Please let me know if this sounds right to you guys. I don't do any racing I just do normal city driving.
Im getting the front/rear rotors from parts.com. they are OEM rotors.
http://www.parts.com/oemcatalog/inde...layCatalogid=0
front rotors-$100 each
rear rotors- $49.95 each
I thinking of getting my front/rear Akebono ceramic pads from thepartsbin.com
http://www.thepartsbin.com/catalog/?...ebono&x=14&y=7
They seem to have different version of the Akebono ceramic pads for our car becuase I see the price vary from $95 to $180.. but they don't really say what is the differnce between them. So Im not sure which to get.
Does this sound like the correct prices and options for what I need?
Also... do I need to get anything else? besides the pads and rotors?

Apparently there is a different rear rotor for 03-05 cars that's about $80.00. Are they really different parts? I thought all of the 2003-2006 brake systems, front and rear, were the same.

Sounds about right for the rotors from www.parts.com. I did this job and it was way harder doing the rears than the fronts.
Akebono Ceramic Pads
SKU: AKEUR984

So I'll order these pads, the rotors and some sensors. How many sensors do I need to get?

I'll be installing pads and rotors all around in the next couple weeks. I'll try the Akebono's, since I already had the EBC red's. Might as well try something new.
A couple of questions:
Are there different pads and/or rotors depending on year. As I said above, I noticed a different rear rotor for my 2004 than the one that was linked by iceman.
Secondly, which size socket do I need for the fronts? Is it an E18 for the rear. I'd like to buy a nice impact socket so I don't bust a chrome one in case I have to really twist on it to break the caliper bolts loose.
Lastly, any tricks I need to know? Does anyone know if the rotors are held on with a screw necessitating an impact driver? I didn't even look the last time I changed pads.
Thanks!
