E55/SLR Injectors
I'd like to know if anyone has ran these injectors, or know flow wise how they compare to our stocks? Thanks for any help.

I do not use SLR injectors. My injectors are dual fan spray pattern and are larger than the SLR injectors.
Jerry from Eurocharged is the ONLY TUNER with experience tuning the TTM Injector and Fuel Rail Kit and I know he has worked closely with Shardul. I believe he has well over 50 hours into this file.

I've seen the injectors on eurocharged website and I just spoke to them about the injectors they carry. I'm probably going to go with theirs now, however I haven't seen the fuel rail kit?

I have been running SLR injectors (they have 6 ports) for about 2 years with a closed loop rail. Never been on the rollers, but there is a noticeable improvement in response and power. Certainly a better spray pattern and atomization.

That's good to know in case I do go with the SLR injectors, at least someone has had good success with them. I'd still like to know about the Fuel rail kit.

I will be running SLR injectors in my car,I know of a couple of other people running them also. You will be able to take away around 13-15% duty cycle from your stock injectors and tuning. The one buddy of mine who is running SLR's,after tuning , saw the car get 24+ mpg on the highway(via cluster) on a 300+ mile road trip.

Using a little larger than stock injector(SLR) will decrease IDC but the real issue is the fuel volume distribution and how the stock rail builds pressure.
Just increasing injector size is only part of the equation and it isn't even the most important part of it.
Anyone that is running the SLR injectors(or any injector running slightly larger than the stock 440cc) with a stock fuel rail should put an EGT probe in #5 and #8 and I am sure the temps in #8 will still be significantly higher on top of 3rd into 4th high speed runs. This is when the fuel starvation issue rears its ugly head.
Just my .02!

Steve does not have my rail. He is an extremely knowledgeable and stand up guy who really enjoys this stuff. I believe he had a closed loop fuel rail on his car well before I started building them.
Now if he would only get rid of those cats and set another road course record with his E55.

I'm done with any additional mods except for some K-MAC's on the front end (Evo's toe links are already on the rear). I'll be back in Germany in about 10 days and try to run some test laps at the Nordschleife in August. It all depends on our schedule and the availability of my friend who will drive the car (he's won there for Porsche and has more than 1000 laps - - - that in itself will more than make up for running cats). That notwithstanding, it's still a pretty sneaky autobahn marauder.
I think it's time to start thinking about a 6.3TT, in about a year or so.
I'm in Southampton and will see if I can sneak away and stop by later this week.

If memory serves me correct and I will edit this if it differs, data logging with the SLR inj.'s with egt probes in #5 and #8 resulted in about a 35-40 degree difference on the 1320 run as well as a blast to 120mph. The biggest problem I see is that most of the people who mod these cars(not all) use no kind of data logging equipment, whenever you start adding power you need to know what is going on with your engine/fuel system or you will enjoy the costs of rebuilding/replacing your engine.maxing out your IDC on stock injectors is bad, over fueling is hard to tune(to big of injectors),I feel with 15% increase in fuel flow from the injectors, tuning being easier? to dial in from not dumping so much fuel is a safe bet.I'm not saying you won't need more fuel but without datalogging to see what's going, you're driving blind.I am in no way a tuner so I don't know all the ins/outs of tuning,I just know from the cars I have done what seems to work while being safe. A full loop fuel rail is great upgrade wether it's slightly modded or fully modded, also, one of the fastest e55's in the 1320 is running Slr injectors, gets datalogged daily and runs the stock fuel rail and has no issues

The fuel starvation and maxed IDC's happens at the top of 3rd and well into 4th and that is where these engines are getting hurt. Running down a 1/4 mile will not duplicate high speed pulls at the top of 3rd and going into 4th where this issue is apparent. The SLR injectors help lower the IDC's but he is still going to drain the fuel rail on a 140-150mph run but I know he doesn't run his car like that. He is also tuned for the 1/4.
And for the record........Alan's car is a complete BEAST and, with your experience and all of the data logging that you guys do, you have built a BAD A$$ 1320' car!

I agree with: Bruce, Scott, and the absent Alan. Bottom line: Static Injectors=BAD!!! There is always a number of ways to skin a cat, and I will soon be testing these waters.. stay tuned for more

I bought a set of SLR-injectors.
They do about 25% more flow, so you can reduce the length of cycle and thats better for life expectancy of the injectors.
They also have better spray than stock injectors, because of one more injection hole.
