Intresting... so how does one determine if that is the case? My motor is def working, but thats as far as I can diagnose because I dont know what to look for... ?

He pulled the unit out and you could see where a hose had once been attached, but the nipple had melted away. He believes it was caused by the check valve failing and making the pump continously work until it melted the plastic that it is attached to and eventually burning the pump up. From the research I have done, the check valve failing and burning the pump up is a pretty common occurence, at least on the S class

Did you get this figured out yet? Mine has a similar problem except the light comes on and doesn't blink but the seats do not function in dynamic or pulse mode. BTW what wheels do you have on your ride? They look AWESOME!!!

Gottcha! I just put on some factory E63's on mine. Had a crack in my Right Rear rim. I will keep watching the thread for updates on the seats. I am almost at a point of taking mine into the dealer. It's annoying that it doesn't work more than anything.

Out Of Control!!
My driver side dynamic quit working a month ago. Same symptoms, blinking light, etc. My car is still under the MB extended warranty so I took it to the dealer. They said there was a leak that caused the pump to fail. They fixed the leak and replaced the pump and the control module. It has been fine since.

before my warranty runs out at teh end of this month i took mine in to the dealer to check the seats(told them dynamic keeps switching off), they said the valve on the passenger seat is blocked and have put in a claim for it and a new switch pack under warranty, anyone have a pic of what it looks like?

It's not all bad..... if you get into the seats you can do the fan upgrades for the ventilation part.
I'm still waiting for a brave soul to tackle the lower seat cushion and post up some pics of what's going on in that area.

Update on mine: Check valve failed, hose melted, pump fragged. Seems to be the most common reason for failure. It's an easy diagnosis once you get to look at the hose. It will be melted.

Checked all the hoses... nothings pinched, everythings connected.
Where the **** does this one hose goto? I've been looking for a good 30mins and it does NOT connect to anything, or does it?
Also on the black box, there seems to be another port but nothings connected to it. I dont think the loose hose would connect to that as its coming from the same source! lol

Ditto here. Mine went out about a month ago.
Called Chrysler Warranty Services (where I got my extended) and they confirmed with me that, to my surprise, it's covered.
Gotta get it in next week to get it taken care of.

Yep. They need to do an "inspection" as always, but on the phone they told me dynamic seats are covered. Phew.

An update on mine:
Pump was bad as stated, however, it appears that used pumps are obtainable and about $150-$170 shipped. Way better than the money the dealer wants for the upgraded set-up. I can replace the pump 4 times before it starts to cost me more than the new set-up. Considering mine failed at 90k miles, I think I'll continue to go the used pump route if it happens again.
Also, for everyone's edification, the pump is on the driver's side of the trunk near the rear and is easily accessed by removing the rear plastic trim and a few other pieces of the trunk liner.

Add me to the list...
Mine stopped working today. Same symptoms, checked the fuse (#13) but the chart referenced a #19 fuse which was missing. Will pull the pump housing this weekend and see whats up. Scheduled an appointment for next week just in case.

Here's a video of where the pump is. Seems to be working? What's that loose hose? Sounds like air leaking somewhere.

So I pooped out all the fixings in the rear left side panel ( driver side in trunk ) and believe I found it behind the styrophome ?? It fought to get those liners off ! What do I do y k them hard I'm afraid of braking them
mine makes Lot of sound as well and the problem is on both the seats so I'm assuming it's the line Nd not the pump?? Can you tell me were the rear fuse box is. Right side right ?? In trunk. I guess I just have to get Ll the panels off, yank em hard I guess. You guys are so cool Nd the pics help alot. CLled the dealer the wanted 800 dollars WHAT !! Lol gotta get this fixed rrr

light blinking on your dynamic switch
if your light is blinking and your dynamic seat not working [kicking in] replace your module thats on the back of the seat that all the lines go in
