Gents,

I am looking to get flashed and I need to borrow someones OBD II cable for remote flashing. I live in LA and will drive anywhere to borrow it.

I would buy a new one but I really have no use for it and I dont really want to wait a week for it to come in the mail. I'd like to borrow it this week so if you have one and don't mind parting with it for 45 min, please help a brother out.

Your generosity is much appreciated.

^ God Bless you bro, don't worry about mailing it! You can buy them ~$30 and it will cost you the same to mail it. Thank you so much for responding!

I was hoping to find someone local, if not, I guess I have to ship my ECU...

hey double check to see if your tuner needs a cable like the gelato software,it looks like a regular obd2 usb cable but the software looks for it and only works if its sees "there cable" so people dont steal there software and use a reg cable.

I have a Eurocharged (EC) tune and some of the sensors that need to be turned on for emissions checks are currently turned off. I'm getting ready to do a flash of my software to turn them back on. I was told by EC that I need to buy their cable for $100, but I want to avoid doing that, if possible. I know the cables on eBay have been mentioned. Does anyone know for sure that those will work on an 05 E55? If so, do you guys have a preferred seller/unit? Thanks!

Hey, are you offering to sell/lend?

Also, I still would very much appreciate info on which cables on eBay work and if so, which ones are preferred. Thanks! ;-)

I'd lend to local peeps, but I don't think I'd want to ship.
