Bias Ply Slicks

Has any of you guys run these yet? There is alot of talk about the Hoosier Drag tire, but nothing compares to a full blown slick.

Could our half shafts handle the mosterous torque out the whole, please discuss as the season is just around the corner

That's a wonderful problem to have. Make sure you give them a good dusting before running them on the street.

If you are going to run bias plys out back make sure you run them up front also...as you probably already know. I do know of a few members that have run slicks and skinnys with good luck and no half shaft problems. Personally, I am still convinced that an mt or hoosier drag radial will do the trick just fine. I think my 9 year old son could stomp out sub 1.65 60's with them.

And Jody, spinning at 80-90mph with DRs... Beast!!! I love it bro. Can't wait to see that car in action.

Not endorsing them at all due to all the horror stories on the web. That being said I know of at least 4 guys (some big timers) on our forum running/have run the devils bia ply slicks several times and have lived to fight another day.

The web literally says if you run them with rads up front, it's like playing with Anthrax. Scary stories.

**edit, yeah ....what 930 said. Beat me to it**

Hearing killer stuff on the Hoosier drag stuff. Guys loving it more than the Mickey ETs.

Haters crazy
Gonna test out some Hoosier R6's in a few weeks... Apparently they are super sticky. **** tread wear compared to M/T's, so for street use, probably not good.

Guys don't try and reinvent the wheel, remember Alan set his record on MT's and if you get them hot and sticky with a proper burnout you will not spin. Sac is not the best prep'd track but I've never seen Alan spin after launch. The burnout is the key, you have to roll out the burnout and not just sit there and bake. Wheel Spin coming out is what you want

R6s are a road racing tire and need a ton of heat to get sticky. I would go with the Hoosier Drag Radial or the MT drag radial.
