co2 spray or nitrous spray on heatexchanger?

Anyone ever use something like co2 or no2 to spray the heat exchanger for cooling purposed, if so, how well did it work?

I did a search on this and found nothing.

If your even thinking of doing that to cool the charge just inject it instead.you wont regret it.even a tiny sneaky pete shot will help tons over any external cooling method.

I guess I'll try and add something useful and address your actual question. I'm also thinking about adding this into my setup(c02), I know alot of the diesel guys do this on their race rigs with excellent success! The thing is it only lasts 2-3 min. of continued use depending on how big your bottle is. So it's only good for racing. Hopefully that helps a little.

iirc, sleeperx tried spraying co2 on his h/e a few years ago and didn't see any measureable gains.

This sort of thing just does not work on a air/water system. Spraying on the h/e has to cool the water first. It would be like spraying it on a 5 gallon bucket of water.

Good point.

Then, how about spraying it INTO the water of the HE? Would it have any effect?

Good point, that's why I asked. I know on intercoolers it works great.. just wasn't sure if it would work for our system.

Thanks guys.

What's a decent no2 shot to run on these cars without going crazy? lol

Yup, already tried and didn't work. Works on the big trucks as they have much better intercooler setup. Ours blows with it located DEEP in a piping hot block.

Best bet for super cooling is meth right now. Too scary for me with no warranty (plus clueless on it) so I don't play on that playground.

Rear tank is the best cooling solution! Or the split system..

I vote for a high qaulity Meth kit. he refills are cheap and the results are very good and not volitile. Meth with a touch of lube in it works wonders. As a direct source of fuel it is very corrosive but when injected itis a nice cooler. Just make sure you choose a kit that has the best parts in it cause there is so many cheap kits I have seen that the pump fails due to Meth eating the seals of the sprayer pours Meth and causes a puddle effect.
I had Meth kits on my stock twin supra and my big single and it was the best investment for cooling I ever used. I tried all those spray rails and such and it was just a waste.

Juggernaut, what do you use for lube in your meth setup and how much do you use?

I buy my METH in 55 gal drums and my other guys mix the lube in before we use it.Its like mixing 2 stroke oil.I will find out exactly which lube it is.The other cars we usethis in are qucik 8 cars.We all love using Meth for when we dont have C16 or better in our tanks at all times.Meth is great for running mild to hgh boost on the streets.Especially when you have an encounter and need to put a punk in his place.
