This is how the wiring match up. I tested them on my car and the tb plate open and close like it supposed to. No check engine.
Like I said earlier in the thread, the hard part of this project is labor intensive. A lot of welding and grinding to move the SC inlet 3/8" to the driver side to make the 90mm tb fit.
Good luck.

I got my stock t/b back last night, so I am going to match an aftermarket 90mm or even bigger based on what looks like it will work, talk to the powers that be for the machining and circle back around to Forrest for the electrics.
Lets make this happen

What is the purpose of the surge tanks? Could a guy make a pipe to remotely mount the tb off to the side like.in the Cobras ? If so a person could make a flange on one end to fit any tb while the other end mounts to the s/c . On a side note is anyone porting these blowers ?

I spoke to kleeman a while ago about porting, and it is a no go from their standpoint. Just like you can't port twin screws in the mustang world, Cory said the same goes with the blowers on the M113K motors.

We need to be making Whipple blower adaptors and get the tunes to keep with those mods. I will take a big whipple over a 90mm anyday.

I helped a friend switch to the 82mm TB and it was not a fun project.

Simple, they simply displace more air per revolution. They are larger in displacement ( depending on the model you get ). They can be as efficient putting out 20psi as our oem s/c putting out 15psi. They will, however, have issues with heat if you push them as hard as we push the oem S/C.

The BBK unit follows the same TPS connector as Dodge / VW / Audi/ Seat / Skoda & Lamborghini.
Mercedes-Benz/BMW/Porsche/Volvo /Ford Europe (ford with 2.5 RS motor) use all the same TPS connector (what we call the square pin TPS).
You will need an adapter harness which is the easiest part. The hardesr part is the BBK unit uses an 80 x 80 bolt pattern with a 90mm plate vs E55 upgrade which is a 75 x 75mm bolt pattern with 82mm plate and even worst the CLK55 uses a 70 x 70 bolt pattern with 74mm plate.. The plates can not and will not intersect period so at minimum a 10mm plate will be needed tappered from 90mm to 74mm (which cuts into the mounting holes) and tappered to the 82mm housing destroys a $450 part.
I would love to help with this since we used one of the BBK 90mm units on an E55 before. It will require a new supercharger inlet because with the proper adapter plate , even with a taper 90mm cuts into the housing outer walls which is a huge no no. The hold up was waiting on the carbon fibre inlet. MBH Motorsports I dont want to overstep any boundaries here so if you need help send over a PM or email and ill direct you to where you can get the correct parts and over it up to the community.
Cheers.

Dirt Scooters
Only person I know of that has done it so far is forest. I've got the 90mm TB and sent it out to see if they could make it any bigger (possibly 92-93mm). I've got an extra OEM 80mm plenum that were going to cut up to see if it possible to make the 90mm TB work on it. It needs to be mover about an inch over and will be a tight fit.

'05 SL 55 Black/Black w/mods from Eurocharged/Kleemann/BuckheadImports
damn!
damn i cant wait to hear if eurocharged or others start offering 90 mm tb's in the future.....im getting their 82 mm TB installed over the next week....and when the 180 mm pulley kit comes back in stock in a few weeks im getting that and maybe gonna pull the trigger on the kleemann headers also.......wondering how much power switching to a 90 mm TB would give?

According to my discussions with Forest 9, I believe he saw pretty good gains going from the 82 to the 90, as in 30+ whp. This is why I'm so interested to just skip the 80/82 and go straight for big if the drivablility is ok.
The only downside right now I know of is the custom fab needed to make it fit.

Wow 30+whp
Wow 30+whp is a lot! Too bad I've already bought and almost done installing my 82 mm TB from Eurocharged....otherwise I might have been seriously tempted to just wait for a 90! Oh well...it gives me more motivation for future mods....

I gained 15 just from a custom y pipe on the 82 so I can see how the 90 would get you the other 15. The stock y pipe isn't very good.
I'm working on my 90mm as well and have a method that is a bit different from Forrest's to put it on. It requires hacking of a stock 74mm inlet and essentially making a much wider snout. I machined it out of billet so it can be reproduced easily via CNC. Parts are all made, I just need to find time to weld it up and install.

When I go from stock to 82, I gained 37whp. That was dyno the same day with the same dyno.
When I go from 82 to 90, I gained 36whp. That was on the same type of dyno (dynojet), but about a year apart.
