Brad will probably kill me but at least I'm not posting the pics.. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Testing is still ongoing on what looks like a stock 55K. These bad boys are definitely delivering on the cooling side temp wise and are about to get dyno tested for top end performance and flow.

I'm guessing ShangoAste probably paid $5K-$7K for his custom kit. I was quoted $1500 to build just a hollow plenum under the SC (Intercooler delete). This was quoted by 4 different fabricators. Some were actually much more, and I had the entire design & measurements completed. Just needed material, cut and weld.
I'm not sure what you guys are expecting. It will not be under $5K.. A friggen CF airbox is $2K.
What I want to see is the way they accommodate an air-cleaner. (Hadis intake, without Top mounts is $1200..again, expectations )
The other consideration worth reviewing:
It looks like this is being tested on a stock motor. That should give some baseline, however, this mod is not for stock engines.
We run into cooling issues with big pulleys.
I would want to make sure the cooling advantages are there for highly modified engines, and that there is not a CFM flow restriction at the high end of mods:
100mm + TB
200mm + Pulley
Heads
Big Headers
All of these mods are availible, or in the works. That is where this product will SHINE if it can handle the CFM efficiently

In the case if the top mounts we are talking a whole new plenum. Soon enough we will have a price and availability.
Brad, if you need a local test subject with 190 pulley, long tubes, fuel rail, 82mm TB, and complete data logging (dual AFR) I might know a guy

This quote was to build the entire unit. I ended up buying a spare inrecooler and just cutting out the core and welding in something else. That was $400 for labor and material.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
To be honest, a vendor should never just toss out bits of information on a product in development. This would avoid the magnitude of crap above. Just one day post it up, here it is guys! With dynos, testing, blah blah blah, and finally an introductory price for say the first 5 to sign up. Nice and simple. Negative reputation and rumors no longer enter the picture.

I look at it differently. I think it is great they gave is a heads up. The only advice I would give when it comes to new products is to set some initial expectations. Even if not in regards to pricing. The outline given was great. All it needed was a sentence saying: expect final product in 6 to 9 months. R&D takes time

Look at the thread and all of the BS posts in it. One cannot give adequate expectations on a new item still in development. That has been proven since the first stones axes were sold millions of years ago. It's 101. Now you have folks putting down Evosport for not providing hourly updates. When it is ready, that is when it should have been announced or at a minimum during testing.
