Good to know. I do get a, "Chirp" from time to time, but not sure it's worth all the extra work (new belt, changing the pulley?) just to eliminate this small sound?

I had a problem with belt noise and squeaks on normal driving and would be the worst on cold start up.

i got the cold start up chirp as well. Any explination as to why? Or which part or parts it could be? Or is it the same as the OP? Mine is an 06 with 43k

I have the ASP Idler Pullies and mine makes this noise upon cold start. What do you mean by switching some parts around Skratch? I want to get rid of this noise already. I even went back to stock tensioner pulley because I thought that was the problem.

Perhaps you had the S/C idler pulley installed inversely? When I mocked up the idler pulleys, it appeared the S/C idler could be installed in either direction, but there was a noticeable difference in the gap between the accessory pulley and SC pulley. I installed mine so that there is a 1-2mm gap between them and have not experience any noise.

Got the noise today for about a minute while driving.its about 5x quieter than before and you can barely hear it.
This was on a cold start.
I did get a battery in red on the dash today to visit workshop so i dont know if its a coincidence that my accessorie battery is going bad.

I have been getting the chirp and usually when it does the red battery worshop light comes on. And the lows of convenience accessories. I have both new batteries and control module. Any ideas?

Well, it sort of sounds like it is coming from the ABC pulley area. I sprayed some WD-40 down there, and the noise went away for about two seconds then reappeared. What I don't know is if it truly is coming from the ABC area or not.
It's getting progressively worse...goes away when fully warmed up, but gets louder and louder each morning. It also gets louder the higher the revs are. Could it still be S/C belt you think?

Sounds like your tandem pump bearing is starting to go. Do you have between 50 and 70K on your car? The majority of ABC failures occur between 50 and 70k so that sounds to be the culprit. Hook up an SDS and check the ABC pressure and it should be ~190 bar. Even if the pressure is fine that grinding noise could be flooding your ABC system with metal fragments if it is your pump beginning to fail.
Have you gotten any Visit Workshop messages related to your ABC suspension? The earlier you catch a failing pump the better since the meatl in the fluid WILL DAMAGE your valve blocks and then the repair will be ~ triple the price of just a tandem pump replacement. Good luck and if you want to give me a call in my office I will be happy to explain in depth what needs to be done. I have done over 2 dozen ABC tandem pumps so I do know this system inside and out!

The pump and valve bodies were replaced at 70,000 and the car now has 100,000.
Why would the bearing noise go away once the car is fully warmed up however?
I did just have an ABC fluid and filter flush from the dealer a few weeks ago.

DIAGNOSIS
Here's a really easy way to quickly figure out if the noise is coming from a bearing or from the belt. Take a can of just about anything(belt dressing, Armor All, brake cleaner, carb cleaner, whatever) and squirt a little bit on the belt(s) while the noise is happening. If the noise goes away immediately it's the belt. If not, it's something else. Belts can become glazed, and especially in this cold weather they can conform to the shape of the pulleys when the engine is off(like a tire flat-spotting) and make some strange sounds in the morning.
