in order to get the concave on the rim i want I would need to go 9.5 or ideally 10 at the front.
with a rolled fender and stretched tire can either size work?
10.5 for the back.

a 9.5 wheel with a et20-25 should work, I know a couple people that have ran et18 on a 9.5 wheel, but you will definately have to pull the fender's and rock a 245 tire so there will be a slight stretch.
are you going for pure aesthetics or functionality as well?

Wow, I did a search and this thread is recent.
I noted above that although the rim can go wider, the tire cannot?
I would like to put a 265/35-18 in the front on a 9" stock rear.
Anyone have any experience with this?

as for a 265 tire in front that is doable on a 8.5" wheel, however, correct offset as well as lowering and rubbing issues will all come into play. and let's not forget the heavy steering feel. I highly doubt it would work on a 9" wheel unless you run a LOW offset and pull the S*** out of your fenders. I personally have run 255's and 245's up front and the 245's just drive so much nicer.
