Was parked in a spot of a harbor freight parking lot talking to my buddy about how he was recently in a car accident in a work truck hauling a lambo to a dealership and then this happens.. Damn 19yr old kid in a big white dodge truck that didn't pull out wide enough. $1700 repair estimate with MB parts at an MB approved body shop.

What a perfect opportunity to do an E63 front conversion...

Eh, thought about it but I like my 55 front end. Might consider it in the future if I dump some money into it for upgrades. I love the stock look honestly but don't get me wrong, the 63 front end is sexy too but I'd rather just buy a 63 and have the best of both worlds.

Funny, I was going to say that there's nothing wrong with keeping it oem and lot's of owners do prefer that clean original look. I assumed you must have thought about the idea already so I guess I was just considering what I would have done to make the best of a bad situ lol. Anyway hopefully she's not off the road long, good luck with it all.
Finally got around to lowering my car this weekend. Went with links in the front and just bent the bracket in the back. Got a little aggressive with the bending at first haha, but ended up getting the car set where I want for now. I have some 20s coming this week that might require me to raise the car a little bit more, but we'll see.
First try:
Where it ended up after a few rounds of adjusting:
Excuse the mess. I'd had a full weekend of E55 work, including replacing the windshield washer pump, pulling my leaky passenger side header and getting it welded, then reinstalling, and a couple of other general maintenance items. Very productive weekend!
You guys are terrible. LoL.
Although I do eyeball the X5M's every once in a while.
What does Bert drive?
x5m is terrible on gas.... however its nice looking and comfy. I don't know what he driving now... I know he has a e46 dd and he was talkin about v8ttcls or the new m5 hes gon get.
