What's up bro!! Ya its been awhile but I still lurk around Here at nights in bed...I go to sleep thinking of my next project. I have my Lexus daily when I'm about to retire and drive my tsx...went the reliable route but I'm trying to get either a w209 clk55 or w211 e55...not sure which I'll do for now...
Ya I've seen ash around a few times, not of often as before. We both have kids now so free time is here to come by...miss moding!!! I'm actually gathering parts to mod the tsx...but I'll be back in a Benz very soon...that's if baby#2 doesn't come around.
To answer the question I sourced out from TFS the xenon kit for the headlamps. They do offer it in xenon format as well. My E didn't come w/ that option when I purchased it.
I purchased it from a website in Hacienda Heights in Cali. The plugs are just like the OEM except w/ one minor upgrade.... EXTRA WIRING!! I hated the drivers side short wiring that Benz made. Very straight forward and easy to do this mod. Bolts right up no need to pull your hair out.

You got a damn good price there bro. I don't know if I would paint it the same as the body color though, I reckon it would get lost, if anything maybe black or something that contrasts?

They look great, even better than I imagined they would. I actually bought a set 18 months ago, had them sent from OS paying top dollar for freight and when they arrived discovered they'd sent the halogens instead of zenons! Of course they didn't have the correct ones to replace them with so I was down around $250 in freight by the time I sent them back and had to order different lights from elsewhere! Anyone know how to swap the glove box? I miss having the little built in tray.
Also going to eventually pull the headlight bezels out of my 07 and put them into these hid headlights.
I noticed the e55 headlights level themselves on start, does this mean I have active cornering? I can't really notice at night but am still curious.
Last thing to fix (driving me nuts!!) Is the dynamic seats, I made a separate thread to record my progress on that front.
Also, if anyone is curious, the rearview mirror is unfortunately not a direct swap.
After I get everything else all tidied up, I hope to do the e63 bumper upgrade as well, then I think I will be done with mods. Kind of considering swapping out the rear door cards for sunshade ones but I'm wishy washy about it.
