...and FrankW regarding your statement about Benz vs. Bimmer, I completely agree and knew what you were talking about. I think it’s just plain childish to even discuss such issue. As a matter of fact, plenty of our fellow members are current owners of BMW’s...hell, our fellow members are also current owners of plenty of other make and model of vehicles, so it’s unnecessary to even have such discussion.

…and yes the new M5 is something for all make and model to watch out for.

cool, so they had avantgarde trim difference for the 210 E55 as well in Europe. Probably difference in the seating trim level.

In US we usually get avantgarde or elegance only, so no badge's needed...

 

That Red E55 is nice. I also notice the different B-Pillar trim. It looks like red fake carbon fiber. US models do not get body colored fake CF on the B-Pillars.



Curious - For RHD cars is the brake and gas pedals for the left or right foot? Thanks.

Wow, that Red E55 is a real beauty!!! I love the red carbon fibre look on the B-trim. But I think the black/grey two tone interior isn't the best match for the exterior color. Should have been Ruby like mine!

for sale at a dealer in sydney for AUD$150,000 you can work it out to USD seems a bit expensive to me, although I have never seen one in that colour and with those options.. New price was close to $200,000 AUD I think.

In case no one's responded (haven't checked ), yes E55 Kev, the gas and brake are for the right foot and the park brake is located on the left side.

BTW, that is a picture with Sydney Uni in the background - hence not European spec (despite the deceiving architecture in the background!).

Sounds like they have very different setups for AMG's in OZ........or its a fake (with serious interior mods) ......Did they ever make them in Bordeaux or was it repainted (nonetheless, very nice!)? I also confirm that there's no fender badges in Asia.

I seen a guy driving a low rider Chevy S10 with 2 of those guys in his back window yesterday pissing on a chevy badge I laughed so hard. Its supposed to be a manufacture besides the one your driving

frank, i have to agree with you that owners of bmw's and mercedes to rib eachother off and it is childish but i would also have you know that(dont know about bmw) but i know that mercedes ribs on bmw and lexus. at WI simonson in santa monica they sold(dont know if they still do) t'shirts say
"lifes too short to drive a lexus" with a mb star under
and one that says

this is your brain(shows mb symbol)
"this is your brain on drugs(shows bmw logo)

so yeah i believe mercedes does rib on bmw. im not saying its right but my dad loves it when i wear my bmw bashing t-shirt everytime i jump into his 5 series.

 

my only question is who makes those t-shirts. Definitely not MBusa or MB.

Which Tag? The Price Tag or the tag sewn in the back of the shirt by the maker? Dealers buy their own specialty clothing items from many vendors and can have the MBZ star place on the item. That T-Shirt shoulds like something 'your' particular dealer is doing.

If is it not shown here www.thecollection.mbusa.com it is probably your dealer only. My local dealer has all kinds of stuff made for them by vendors that are not specific to MBUSA, Mercedes-Benz or Daimler-Chrylser.

 

So how many of those shirts do you have kevin?!
