mounting location of GoPro
tbal, I just bought a GoPro Hero 2 and your mounting location on the E55 gives SUPERB audio. Will you tell me exactly where it was mounted?? Tracking my car tomorrow and Really want to get this sound.

Bro mounted it... I believe it was right about the bumper there is a couple inches where you can set the suction cup down.

Outstanding. I just picked up the Gopro Hero 2 and plan to mount it up front and run an external mic to your location. Two thumbs up again for your sound capture, best I've heard anywhere.

Really looking forward to hitting the track. Was up til 5am last night running the lines for the external mic to mount at the rear. Still experimenting with placement, so far too much road noise but the E63 heartbeat still pounds the bass from a standstill. Thinking about mounting the mic up under/inside the rear bumper with the end sticking out near the exhaust. I remember one mercedes produced video where you could hear the exhaust...and only the exhaust. I wondered how they did it, because it sounded amazing. Seems like the automatic gain on the volume is disabled when i use an external mic, so that's killing me at speed.
Now if i can just figure out a way to edit and compress 16 gigs worth of HD video...
