Mercedes Benz Extended Warranty
By the way, if anyone is interested in a extended warranty from Mercedes Benz.
They are offereing this warranty at a reduced price of 15%.
They will have this special through September if you are interested.

.
Any other details about which years this covers, limitations, etc?
Is this for MBZ cars still under a factory warranty, or is this a viable alternative to the 3rd party warranty companies out there now?

GregMB,
I'm getting this information second hand, from a friend. I just thought that I would share the information. So, I can't answer your questions. I would give your dealership a call, sorry.

Motivated finance people at some dealerships will sell them for a LOT less than 15% already. But it's good that MBUSA is offering a new incentive to the dealerships to sell them for 15% off MSRP. Although if you buy one at the time you buy a new car, you get the 15% off anyway. So it sounds like they just dropped the 15% surcharge that they were charging for people buying it later.
But if the dealers are now getting rebated 15% by MBUSA when selling the warranty products, then maybe the already discounted prices from certain dealers will even get lower.

Not sure if this applies to everywhere, but when I picked my CPO e63 up last week the finance guy mentioned that it would go up 15% at the end of the September and that if we waited more than 30 days from the purchase date, we wouldn't get 15% off and have to pay full price.
Sounds like the discount is for purchases, but that may vary from dealer to dealer.

I have an 06E55 with the CPO expiring in June of 2012. I take it, I would not be able to take advantage of this?

I took advantage of it. I would give your dealer a call and try. It's transferable and, at least according to the guy I spoke to, if you trade the car in (even at a non MB dealership) it's refundable as well.

So, if my factory warrant has expired (mine is an 06 model) and my CPO warranty, which I extended by an additional year when I purchased the car, is up in June of 2012, I can still extend my warranty? Is this a dealer thing only, or how do I best take advantage of this?
