Brake fluid leaking

I also had that same message "Brake: visit workshop" I noticed the fluid on the floor. My mechanic said the pump needs to be replaced and it would cost $2100??? Does the pump cost that much? Thanks for any help.

04 E55 AMG
Okay back from Dealer replaced the stop switch said the recall didn't apply to my car. No more warning light so far I have a month before the 10yr mark. spent $165.00.

Thanks for the post.

Also recommended I flush my brake fluid. So I guess that is my next search they quoted me $250.00.

Mine is a 2004. How would i know if its under warranty? I don't want to take it there and then have them tell me the time is up and pay for the work and diagnostic fee of over 300$. i have 98000 miles currently. Is there any other parts that may be covered at this age and mileage i should ask about while im there?

MERCEDES E500 "SERVICE BRAKE VISIT WORKSHOP BRAKE MESSAGE"

I HAD EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM AND TOOK IT TO A MERCEDES SPECIALIST IN AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND and it WAS GOING TO COST JUST UNDER $4000.00 (PARTS AND LABOUR) TO FIX SBC TOTAL UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED (AS PRE TENSIONER PRESSURE WAS BELOW MINIMUM) and PRESURE RESERVOIR FAULTY (THEY ALSO STATED BRAKE PADS and DISCS ALL OKAY)
