New PB

1st run of the day after 4hr + waiting time

1.72. 11.384. 120.89mph

Steve aka evolved8 also ran a PB of 11.5 @ 115mph. His top end is killing him.

Great ETs for both of you, congrats! Would you be able to post the splits? That'd be interesting to see. Hope Steve gets his top end issues sorted out because that car definitely has alot more in it judging by the good ET and bad trap speed.

Did you log your runs? How was the air quality?
you left a couple of tenths on the 60' without a doubt, 1.72 is not bad for a test and tune anywhere. Track rentals provide better prep therefore 60s in the 1.60s all day

No logging at all. The event we attended was Import Face Off. 99% of the cars that ran were on street tires. That's probably explain why our time get worsen at the day go on. I can't cut anything better than the 1.72 60' time. My mph improve to almost 122mph thought.

Oh yeah, there were three E55 at the event. Mine, Steve, and Andy of MHP. Andy didn't drive his car, a friend of his drove it. His first pass was in Dyno mode, and the E55 Beast lived up to its name, scraced the **** out of him.

Dumb question maybe but did you do your runs in DYNO mode? I'm guessing to do a burnout and heat up the tires you need to be in DYNO mode, correct? During the launch also DYNO mode is best I'm guessing.

I don't when I go to the track... I just hit the esp button and do a little burnout then hit it again to turn traction control back on.

I understand that being done with stock tires, I'm talking about 16 inch Drag Radials or even Cheater Slicks. I do not need the traction control with 16 inch Hoosiers but wanting to get these nice and warm I need to spin them for a while, having just the ESP off will actually hold me back will it not?

Never. I do my burnout with ESP off feather the throttle around 40% bolow the tires off, then roll up to the line with ESP back on, left foot on brake right foot preloading the suspension and rpms at 1,500 when the tree falls i roll into the throttle about 40-50% and a second later hammer it.

1.6 60' s all day long

WoW that is a huge news flash for me. If I can ask, why are you turning the ESP on? if you have good enough of tire on the back with a good enough warm up the car should dead hook without ESP even at hitting it full throttle of the line. You probably have way more seat time than me behind the wheel of a 55k motor car. I'm comparing my track experience from my previous car which was a Z06 Corvette that I ran at least 100 times at the track.
