Shifts out of 1st too soon...why?

I did some acceleration runs (in Mexico, of course) and noticed that my 1st gear shifts early. On one run, the car shifted at like 4K, but mostly it shifts at around 5K-5.5K. I think that it should shift closer to like 6.5K, right?

I did the ECU reset earlier this week as well. Maybe related?

If you're spinning the tires hard it'll shift early. Otherwise it should shift somewhere north of 6K.

Yeah, I was spinning badly. I guess I will try manual mode next time.

It'll still shift early. You can put it in manual 1, mash the gas, and it'll shift through the gears just like normal.

I did the reset the other day and haven't really driven the car until today. Suppose I could try to do it again.

May not give your desired results, but it will basically give the most aggressive shifting profile possible.
