Quote: No did not get a chance to do that, reason being time was an issue becuase the oil could not be sourced locally.

The car idles smoother than ever now, real smooth. Drove 1/2 mile and just tapped the pedal in first. Of course tires exploded and was shocked how fast it was building rpms (let off real quick) . Revs really , really fast and from low rpm.

Just taking it slow, checking vitals and fluids. No codes and every is great.

I have a wide band port, so may do plenty of road testing this week.

Wow, thats one mean *** sound.
Who ported the heads? If they show promising gains I'd be interested in a set for my next build.

Good luck with your project, hope you meet and exceed your expectations.

Yes, had a professional (30 years of custom porting exp.) port 4 sets and we spent almost a year flowing each change to max the flow, keep velocity up and unleash all the AMG tricks. I doubt anyone has done this much R&D on head porting these heads. It is a lot of work testing, engineering and keeping ports from getting to large. Mid lift flow is the key to a great set of heads.

We put the heads on ourselves, maybe that is what he meant.

Yes a few times at our 1/4 mile track HRP. Weighs 4375 to 4400 without driver. PHAT! Have some lighter rotors waiting to go on , lighter battery soon (C6 battery) , then wheels.

I hear you but have to find time when Jerry@EC can tune the car. As soon as tune is ready 1/4 mile time for me!! Not wating on the mile, want to get down to the 1/4 mile, even if it is still 105 degrees here. Have ice in tank and will travel!
