Need accessory belt idler pulley ASAP
I pulled a bonehead move and damaged the idler pulley for the access belt. This is the one mounted with the s/c idler. Does anyone have a good one they want to part with? Socal location would be great as I am dead in the water right now. ![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
I am aware of the asp pulley but don't want to go that route yet.
Thanks!

No can't wait till October, but thanks. If I can't locate one here or through another auto parts store, then I will just have to order the ASP unit on Tuesday. I know there is a Gates number that is supposed to work so that's the next plan.

Might want to hit Shardul up. He has 10 billion spare parts it seems and I think he had some ASP pullies for good prices. He is an awesome guy too!
. Worth a shot!

Try the NAPA warehouse in Ontario, if I remember they had the Gates pulley, just use a washer for a spacer, and your set to go. I used it for about 5k miles, no issues.

Sorry for the late follow up - problem is solved.
I ended up finding the Gates 38019 pulley locally. I mocked everything up and determined that I needed a .050" spacer placed between the aluminum insert and the mounting boss to move the whole assembly away from the engine block. Then I needed another spacer .070" thick to separate the two pulleys properly. I found "machine bushings" at the hardware store that worked perfectly as pulley spacers without interfering with the bearing or pulley!
$35 and 90 minutes later and the problem is solved. Had I planned on replacing this one from the start, I probably would have ordered the ASP pulley for long term peace of mind. The replacement of these pulleys/bearings was preventive anyway since the belts were off. The source of my squealing bearing was the accessory drive tensioner bearing. That was fixed without issue and now she is all quiet!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Thanks for the help guys!
PS - Already done business with Shardul and can confirm that he is a stand-up guy and quick to ship!
