After driving around all day in 100? weather the car was heat soaked, and for the last few minutes this modded 350z in the lane next to me had been reving at every stoplight in bumper to bumper traffic which I found mildly amusing. After about 30min we both pulled up to a red light at the head of our group of traffic and there was no traffic to the next light. He began reving hard, so it being obvious that he wanted to experience what it's like to lose I prepared for a quick run. At first I wasn't sure because I heard a turbo a few times while we were driving when he would speed up for a second and then break hard as he almost rear-ended he car in front of him, so I wasn't sure my stock (aside from cooling mods, res delete with h pipe, eisenmann race mufflrs and some asthetic mods, so in other words no real performance enhancing mods) would beat his turbo'd 350z or just come out in a draw as I'm not to versed on determining turbo size by sound other than the loudness of it. Anyways, I put the car in Manual mode, dropped the suspension into sport 2 ( I am well aware that for straight shots comfort is a better setting but pushing a ton of buttons before launching seems way more badass, like I'm about to launch a ****ing space shuttle). The light turns green and I ease into the gas before flooring it (e55 flooring it, in that I don't actually click the kick-down switch) and by the time i shift into second I've already got a car and a half length on him (he had a good launch) and by 3rd I had at least 3 lengths. After that, Satisfied with a long day of classes and work and a kill I put the dm and suspension back into comfort, cruised down to the legal speed and switched on NPR like a boss. In the background I hear what sounds like a crx ricer fartcan roaring up from behind at full throttle and low and behold this korean dude in the 350z with super spiky hair flies by flicking me off and yelling something in korean before swerving into the left-hand turn lane after nearly missing an suv in front of him. I need to work on summarizing but all in all I would say while the kill was satisfying the butthurt ricer flyby was far more rewarding than anything.
