Just an FYI - Discount Tires Provides Lifetime Free Rotation & Balancing
Peeps,
Just an FYI here as I did not know this, but if you buy your tires from Discount tires they'll provide you free lifetime balacing and rotation even if you didn't buy their extended warranty.
I bought all 4 tires from them about a year ago (Continental Extreme Contact DWS) and on a fluke I called them and asked for a price, and they said as long as I bought the tires from them, this is always free.
Normally, dealers/shops charge $40-$60 to do this so I figured I'd pass this along.
(And no I don't work for them)![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks!

Unfortunately it doesnt cover unmountimg and swapping them over as the tires are directional. I started doing this with my rears to shift the camber wear and it prolonged my tire life.

Yep I just had them trade rears and the fronts. So left rear goes to right rear and same with the fronts. I didn't switch them front to back of course. Still it was free and let me know one was .5 off in weight (which they fixed) and that two of my left side wheels were every so slightly bent (I'm sure it's because of a pot hole.)
Also for what it's worth my Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires are holding up incredibly well. I've had them all on for about $20K miles and they look brand new!
I drive 100 miles day to and from work in AZ, and with the heat now, (115 degrees) ambient, that means the road is probably 120 - 130 degrees? During summer it's funny, but the highways are littered with tire carcasus from peoples cars blowing out their tires in the heat.
Seriously on some drives to work in the morning during the summer I'm on constant lookout for large chucks of tires in the road. Hitting one large piece at speed (75MPH) is not good!
Anyway just wanted to tell you all about this and the fact that these tires are rockstars!
When I move to 19's I'll buy them all again.
Thanks.

i had the DW conti extreme contact on rear of my e55...they only lasted 15k miles and i saw the threads on the inner tire. I don't drive too aggressive but my car is lowered and guessing camber is worse since being lowered.
Back on topic. I know rotating was free at discount but i believe balancing is not. I have paid for lifetime balancing from there.
