Lowering the beast
Wanted to what the best way to do it was. Lowering links or a module. I have heard people doing it different ways but wanted to see what you all thought was best. I have a 07 e63.
Thanks

LoMo M1 is great as well. I'm getting my car STAR lowered next week as I don't need the car slammed and still maintain the ability to raise it.

That's a Renntech version 1 (last two digits "98"). Renntech v2 (last two digits "99") is the best choice, especially with the remote control for it. Allows you to raise or lower on the fly.

Here's a DIY install for a Renntech v2. Should give you an idea of what's involved:

I'm with you on that. I had h&r on my 750i, not a big fan. I thin the way to go is rentech v2. I really like the lowering and lifting with a push of the button. Now just explaining to the wife why I have put almost 5k into a car I haven't even made a payment on yet. Hahahahaha.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Once I receive my Star and play with it, we could meet up and get it lowered-no charge. hate all the people out there that charge for everything.
Going to lower mine a tad as well.

Hey Biffed- Craig from the forum hooked me up with Jason and Greg over at Buckhead Import Performance in Atlanta and they told me links was the way to go. Was out in your neck of the woods last week ripping up the roads in my friends 458 Italia. CA rocks. The E63 has a great rake and looks great. They have a great paint guy who tricks out high end motorcycle tanks and he blacked out the grille. Awesome job. Had the exhaust changed out and had it tuned. Now, it is getting the sound it deserves.
My vote is the links after talking with these guys who do this stuff all day long. Good Luck.

I researched (in depth) all realistic options (while washers are interesting, they didnt make 'my' cut). Came close to going ELM, but hesitated due to the wiring mods required (though some are indeed fairly minimal). Ended up going with links (at less than half the price) based on feedback (like stevieg) from the shop that installs all of these options often. Car is gorgeous, ride is great, haven't look back...

Worked like a charm. If your tech knows what he's doing you could get it done in a half hour. Mine hadn't done it in forever, luckily I had my laptop on me and I used our very own STAR thread to take him step by step. Spent about an hour walking around the car with a tape measure and got it done. This is as low as I'd want my car anyway, and I'm very happy with it.
