Its the one that sticks up. If you pull it off, it reveals a tube. If this is for tranny oil, can i add fluid with a funnel into the tube?

Yes, but do measure carefully. Do not want to overfill.

The red cap is the oil dipstick tube cap. the black cap behind the supercharger is the transmission dipstick cap.

I know that in the C & E 63's this is for the dipstick for the engine oil. As our cars don't have a fill tube for the tranny. I believe this in for the engine oil on the M113 as well, and not the transmission. Check out your owners manual for confirmation, before you start adding any fluids, or you might be sorry you didn't.

Correct sorry for any confusion, BLACK WITH RED LOCKING TAB is transmission. Once broken you need a new one available for cheap on Ebay

I'm glad that the confusion has been clarified, or this could have gotten ugly.

It is pretty easy to trace the trans filler tube down to the trans

Can anyone add pics of the 2 caps to further prevent any confusion between them? It's pouring here or i would go out and snap some pics myself.

Yes, but there are alot of inexperienced AMG owners on this forum, that could have mis-interpretted your words.

Below shows a picture of the locking tab that goes inside the trans cap.

http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...ans%20722.643-

There should be no way to confuse them, trans tube is located on passenger side near the firewall. It it bolted to the bellhousing and extends down to the trans pan.
