Hose 1 goes to inlet for front heat exchanger
Hose 2 comes from the outlet of pump and feeds the water into the intercooler under the S/C

a little question --- I replaced/upgraded my 2006 OEM pump that never had problems -- with a CM30 pump --- I am thinking about reinstalling the OEM pump and running both pumps since its just sitting on the shelf

What is the direction of water flow ?? CM30 & OEM

I am thinking the inlet is on the outside of the pumps -- and the outlet is the opening in the middle of the pump -- Is this correct?

Stock cooling? If flow is too fast, that wont do any good as the HE will not cool the liquid that fast. One pump is more than plently unless your doing a rear mount tank, or spending $4000 on a custom front mount tank. Just wire the pump to run all the time and call it a day!

Inlet is at the top of the pump, outlet, yes you can say the middle opening...

thanks -- and I have heard that before -- too fast is not good...

I think I will just experiment -- my HE is huge --- Frozen HE -- but I heard the ports for the HE are smaller than stock -- thus may reduce the speed of the normal setup with a CM30--- So, I was thinking of throwing my OEM into the mix -- have a pump push into the HE and a pump push into the IC.

Does that sound dumb and out of the question - or does it sound like a decent experiment -- ???

I was going to do the FB HE myself but because of the smaller NPTs I didnt. I would still just do the bosch hd pump, wire to run all the time.

Datalog the IATS, do some pulls etc... if you feel the need to cool your system down more, I would suggest first splitting the IC system from the Engine coolant... That alone makes a huge diff. I have the bmw res, brackets, hose etc if you want it Ill send it your way cheap...

I never logged my IATs - dont have the tools -

but- I never had my SC shut down with my current HP mods & OEM cooling setup even with repeat runs in Vegas summer heat ---
Never had it shutdown with the FB HE and CM30 setup --- but I have noticed that the car was more sluggish at 110 -- compared to 90 degrees -- So, I
am thinking I may be able to get more cooling from my setup --- but i am guessing I am being unrealistic in those temps.

also - does it matter -- or do you have any preferences on where the water enters the HE and exits?? Top or bottom?

Can never go wrong with extra cooling... even though I only have a 168 pulley, I probably have more cooling mods than some guys running 180 pulleys lol...

Water should always enter the top of the HE, and exit the bottom...

Anyone did splitting with Mezeire pump in the system, without the rear tank? Will IAT drop? or increase? Mezeire flows more than bosch and cm 30.

Wait, they are both centrifugal pumps are they not? This means that the inlet is the center opening and the outlet is the side opening.

I don't know if the fuse/wiring can handle it, unless you use a relay.

fog light will work -- but I want to plug in a 2nd pump into the system -- i was thinking about locating it up top and the driving light is more accessible -- Also, I like to use my fog lights.

Did i mess up? I have a split system, with trunk tank and my plumping flow is:
trunk tank->inlet of cm30->hose 2, I/C and then coming out of hose 1->
HE-> back to the trunk tank.
Is that correct?

Shouldnt the flow go to the HE and then to the hose 2 or more like this:
trunk tank-> inlet of cm30->HE->hose 2, I/C and then coming out of hose 1->trunk tank?

Which is correct flow?

Your way is how I have mine done too. You want the ice cold water from the reservoir to reach the ic first.

The other way is correct too if you just want to run your car on the street and use no ice.
