Why Don't Women Buy/Like AMG E55s?
Now I'm not being sexist but I'd guess 98% of E55 owners are men. I have yet to see a women owner post here.
Talking to my wife, who's very educuated and smart (she has both a JD and Ph.D) yes you read that right, she hates my AMG says it very uncomfortable to sit in and the drives/feels harsh.
She drives a Chrysler 300 Touring for comparison's sake.
Personally I find my car very comfortable to drive and the seats are fantastic. It's gotten to the point where my wife refuses to drive my car, she can't stand it.
So is this just me or have all of you had similar experience with the women in your life specific to your E55/E63?

My opinion is that most girls just aren't THAT into cars as guys are, which is why I see so many chicks driving slk's and c300. They buy it for the badge not the performance. That being said, when I valet my beast at an upscale restaurant...panties do tend to drop

Time for a new wife! I've had many classy women ride with me and they all love the ride. Heck even the ghetto girls like it. Mine isn't dropped and I don't run crappy rims or tires and not sure if you do, but that probably helps my ride stay smooth over big bumps.

wrong boys!
:-) enjoying my E63 and can't wait until next day to drive it.
Had a nice little race yesterday with a DB7 GT, unfortunately only one lane but he would have lost if I had the chance to overtake ha ha...

Two different girls almost wet themself when I gave them a ride in mine. And they all seem to love it, very weird your wife is the opposite.
In fact here is the response on one of thems facebook and the convo to follow.

And I remember seeing one or two females around here that posted before, one had a ZR1 also and one other one had 360 Ferrari or something like that at one point so her name was something along those lines but she has (or had) an SL55 not long ago, she was selling some parts that she decided not to intall.

OK we have a women owner! I stand corrected! Again please don't take this as sexist, I love women, have an amazing wife, was raised by my mom and teach my two young daughters to be strong and independent!
I do conceed that guys tend to me more into cars than girls and high performance cars probablly typifies/intensifies this reality.
Here's a quote I like, "Tires are to guys like shoes are to women." I can spend hours on tirerack.com looking at tires for my beast just like women tend to do the same for shoes.
Any appreciate the input!

"Is this a joke or the question of the day?"-my girl
But she's a car girl. And I think the E55 is a car guy's car. You got to know/love cars to love the E55.

Mine, "I love yours but I want the convertible Mercedes, but with same type of motor thingy that's in yours."
I guess I need to change the lettering on the fender to Motor Type Thingy

My wife also likes "our" AMG, she loves whipping all the cars at the lights, and the heated seats are her best bit about it!
It is actually registered to her!

Perhaps it is 98%, but our wagon is more her car, than my car. Yes, a wagon, but I bought it before I met her and she didn't like it being a wagon.
Now she does. It's the only E55 that could hold all our kids. (3 in car seats and twins on the way).

CLK63 Black, E350 Wagon, Supercharged Denali, Lotus Elise, Tesla Model 3 Dual-Motor.
My Wife really loved her E55, but I had to get her out of it.
The cost for replacement Tires & Rims that she ruined by running thru pot holes made me talk her into a 4-Dr Jeep Wrangler.
Four years later, she still loves her Jeep and she's still running thru pot holes and over curbs on the Jeep's original Tires & Rims.
We are both happy...!

you mean she has no choice?
Looking at your porker, doubt she could use that as a transportation with all your family in it?
Btw congrats on the news of the twins!

some women interactions with car:
- pulled up to pick up Thai - hotty sitting with another man in the outside seating - her:
"OH MY GOD, I LOVE YOUR CAR" - her companion's head immediately goes down and he mumbles - "yeah, nice car"
Driving last week and come up on another E55 doing about 55-60ish; I drive buy (not a fly by, not a taunt) and keep going - look in my rear view and the 55 is speeding, weaving through traffic to catch up - I slow down, it pulls along side of me, our windows go down at the same time - 40ish mother with her son in the front seat we say at the same time "nice car"; she follows up with "LOVE your wheels - the brakes look killer".
Wife:
"Stop banging my head into the headrest"
"Why did you get tinted windows, nobody can see me driving it and now I have to mess up my hair for people to see me"
"M3, orange mustang, BMW, AUDI, tried to race me today - they all lost - you should have seen the looks on their faces when they saw it was a girl driving"
"we need to get a AMG wagon"
"I no longer want a wagon - I want a G55"
I've personally seen about 10 different women rocking various AMG's in the area - the trend was the younger ones were in C's and CLK's; the older ones E's and S's; I had lower my head when a 60ish woman did a fly by on me in a S65

Here is Columbus, women are in AMGs everywhere although I don't think they even know what they have. They just go in with the husband and pick out the most expensive price tag. My wife however, loves AMGs and after Bucasa and Claytons visit this summer, she asked "so after seeing their cars does it make you want to get rid of the Beetle (996tt by the way) and get another MB AMG". Dam I hate it when she is right.

Well, the AMG in general is a panty dropper, and for most part, it would be very inconvenient for them to have to pull down their draws everytime they get into their own car.
Thus, in conclusion, they chosse to steer away from such complexities.
