How to make E55 sound like a c63?
The 55 is pretty tame sounding compared to the c63, especially on startup. Any advice for mods?

Some of the e55 guys actually seek out the c63 exhaust (catback) with some success. I think Tbal is running it on his car if I am not mistaken. Sounds great.

Bore 5.5 out about .7L

It's the large displacement sound....no way round it.

All kidding aside. Sharduls E55 is my favorite E55 in the world right now.

Just turn it up and listen. DEEP, throaty but NOT raspy. I friggin hate rasp!

That is true. The 6.2L has its very own rumble the 5.4 cannot reproduce.

I've tried sl55 mufflers, but didnt sound as great. The only way I have seen the stock e55 mufflers sound decent is with a LTH setup, otherwise they are way to restrictive. Fact: E55 mufflers weigh 2x more than E63 mufflers.

Honestly I would just delete mufflers and call it a day. I removed the resonator first and that didnt do much, if anything

I am with AWOL, remove mufflers and resonator. It will be very muscular and deep but no raspiness. WOT will be EPIC!!!

I would be tempted to say try out the C63 mufflers on the car. It won't give nearly the same effect on our 55k's but I'm sure it'll add some rumble.
