WOW just Tested the new E63 biturbo

I should of stayed away from it, its amazing, basically they fixed the new E just like I wanted it, every little problem I found with the e55 and the e63 pre turbo is fixed... for example I did not like the gear lever to be on the steering and I did not like the steering wheel from the 55 or 63, now its a beautiful beefy suede steering, the gear lever is a nice solid with the affelbach emblen engraved on top I mean they really went the extra mile

there are a couple cars I refuse to go test drive right now, and that is one of them. I know if I drive the new E63 or a new Z06 I will leave with one!

I'm going to wait a little while and then drop the turbo motor in the 211

Wait... you just test drove it and your comments are about the steering wheel and the gear selector location? I would think the extra mile would be the BiTurbo engine at minimal.

See what you get for thinking. It's a nice gear lever.

i drive them all, fast and hard
did u do a test drive or did you just get to sit in the car

dude how does the car drive, we need to know

yeah, the gear shifter is nice, but not a deciding factor vs the 6.2.NA engine

same power, same stats, maybe better milage, both awesome

Since when has the gear selector in any AMG vehicle been on the steering column?

I tested a new CLS63 at AMG performance drive and it hauled ***. The feel is completely different from a 55k engine. Its not as violent, yet it has a crazy way of letting you know its faster.

haha I test drove it in my mind from the showroom im sure it drives nice tho, all I hope is that its more reliable than my e55 garbagio.

in less than a year these are my repairs :

secondary air pump
heat change over valve
radiator
intercooler pump
fuel tank
supercharger clutch
fuel pump
ball joints
ac compressor
2X to shop for electronics malfunction
my NAV doesnt work anymore it keeps searching when I click location and all I get is hear the lady give directions so I gotta click repeat like 15X
parktronic gave up it just kepted beeping

Im sure Im forgetting some, all this in 12-13K miles

Just curious what do you guys have to say about that? except the obvious fact next car I get full warranty, but I mean it only got 50k miles... I understand its a high end vehicle but seriously...

Not all cars are created equal. Looks like you got a bum one. Those are pretty much all the problems related to E55s, in one. Wait for your airmatic to go!

I had to fix quite a few things on my car when I got her, but they were due to negligence ( things kept going wrong throughout the years and the previous owner just didn't fix them, they all stacked up ). But once fixed, my car has been a dream.
