Definitely. I think the surprise is that they are getting into a four door sedan and have no clue the power of these cars. With some cars you expect to be pinned back, like getting into a GT2RS or a ZR1.
That is what is so great about these AMG models is the surprise factor .

Yea. Drove normal, even gave it half throttle andsaid it was floored, in comfort. Pit it in M1, floored it and took it to about 25 which came uber quickly. They really can't believe the power when I pass someone and easily hit 130 with brute and unforgiving force... Ahh whatanengine! Nuff said.

Don't really know anyone who isn't in to speed or scared of it, all my friends have something fast whether it be a car, boat or motorcycle and then all the girls we know are used to being around that type of stuff too. Shoot I let an aunt of mine (she is 40 and drives a minivan) take my car somewhere one day and she said she got it straight and then floored it once.

I now usually find myself driving by myself most of the time cause I have 2 speeds, fast and even faster. Now, if all of these cars would get off of my roads, I wouldn't be so angry all the time, I am just trying to achieve hyper speed.

I usually get the quiet "what the hell is going on look" or I get the surprised look first and they look over at my speedometer and as I pass 80mph they usually squeak out "omg I can feel the g-force" haha

This reminds me of a funny story....
My buddy took his friend up in the canyons a few years back with his heavily modded 996TT and his friend got soo scared that he literally **** his pants!

My wife doesn't like it when I really put my foot into it, but it is a control issue. She drives it just as hard as I do

I dont think the E55 is that fast that it would scare people. The HP/TQ range needed for that is around 650rwhp/650rwtq minimum.
I think what would scare people more is putting it in dyno mode and giving it a go. I took my father for a ride in my 04 cobra which has no traction control help, just sticky tires and driver mod, it is making 600rwhp/580rwtq. After doing a second gear pull, he never really said anything, so I asked him later that night what he thought, he replied, yeah it pulls.
I think car enthusiasts verses non gear heads makes a huge difference and how well the car handles. Now take someone for a drive in say a 450rwhp/450rwtq Viper, and you will scare the hell out of them. No electronics to help traction, just pure driver skill or lack there off.

Back in the day, took a nice girl on a date in my P car, well she "wet" herself.
Worst and shortest date ever, wrong wet on my Recaros, oh well live and learn.

Perfect timing. Brother in laws wife (clueless on hp) keeps bragging about a new stock ram diesel truck she was in and how fast it is.
Been going on for awhile but lately it's morphed into "I just don't know how your car could be much faster than that Jim....sorry"
I'm sorry too.....she's about to see God.
Or at least tunnel vision.
Will try to get vid.

Video would be awesome, like go pro stuck to the windshield facing her haha. Maybe even turn traction off once for her to freak her out when it gets a little sideways.

I took my elder sister in for a ride before I modded it and she was yelling, "Stop, stop!" when I booted it and we got up to 80 MPH (safely mind you) very quickly. Keep in mind she was a Captain in the Air Force, a Flight Nurse no less. I now warn people in advance when they ask me to floor it.
"Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times..."
It simply shocks people how fast it goes because it doesn't look fast at all. If they were stepping into a Prosche/Lambo they'd have that mental expecation first.
I love it though as it's rather, "Anticeptic" body saves me from getting speeding tickets as there are a ton of cops on the route of my 100 mile daily commute here in AZ.
I always see the bright (red/yellow) sports cars pulled over by the Po-Po (as Little Wayne would say) but not my light gold, 4 door, rather bland sedan.
It's one of the reason's I've kept my stock 18's on, as it's one less indicator how fast it is. It's funny but I see cops looking at it or tailing me (my license plate reads, "GONEIN4" (as in 0-60 MPH time) and I can almost literally seeing them thinking, "Is this a fast car or a bland Mercdes...what the hell..." and I just smile.
It's truly a, "Muscle car in a tuxedo," and I lub it.
