Well it didn't even take a month of ownership of this absolutely gorgeous beast AMG and I got my ticket I was prertty bummed about it but am new here in FL and I didn't see the speed limit so I assumed it was 60-65 but supposedly i was clocked in at 80mph, and the cop was stopped lights off so I guess the rear radar measured me well!!! Needles to say sh!!t happens but I def am not a racer or a reckless driver. Yah we all have our urges everynow and then to step on it but I been holding back .. Anyways I got my lisence at 16 and now am 24 with zero tickets or accidents so go figure... Cop was a fat ******* nd rude!!! Btw the ticket was $298
anyways just wanted to share my crappy day story :/

You can go to traffic school in FL and you won't have any points (One time per year I believe).

It happens....

Valentine One = $399

Ticket = $298

You only buy the V1 once.... Tickets will just keep coming. Learn from this experience and "arm" yourself.

Your worst nightmare...
It's ok **** happens. I got paced supposedly doing 110 in a 35 mph zone when I was 18. Nearly got my license taken away... 2 years later I bought a passport radar detector and to this day zero tickets. My ticket plus lawyer were 1k+.

By the way it was an industrial zone, deserted where everyone used to go racing.

How many times are you going to say this? Every time somebody gets a ticket, whether they deserved it or not, the cop is jealous?

Get this through your head.

You can get a nice E55 for $25k. Even a rookie police officer could probably afford that in almost every state in the country. I'm sure if he wanted an E55, he would have one.

I'm fairly confident that everyone in this section of the forum is aware of the prices of used e55's; I'm also fairly confident that maintenance and repairs are not the same as a normal used 25K car.

It's very well documented my respect and admiration for military/LEO's and what they do. . .the great thing about "freedom" is that people are allowed to share their opinions. . .and disagree with the ones expressed. For every opinion you don't like, someone is feeling the same way about yours. . .

well someone should tell chawkins, because he seems to think that all cops everywhere are jealous of E55 drivers.

As to your maintenance and repair comment, big deal. Yeah its expensive, but its not as if cops are burger king employees. Many clear six figures with overtime, which is more than enough to afford a used E55. The high and mighty attitude over a cheap used car is pretty silly.

As for opinions, you can say what you want about cops. I'm not a cop and I don't care if you don't like them. But to imply that every cop which pulls over an E55 is jealous is just asinine, and yet par for the course for chawkins.

It sounds like you are jealous that you dont have an E55 instead of the land yacht.

It is simple! The cop will treat you depending on how you treat them if he is pissed because you were doing 80-100-120-140 he has all the right to nail you. Some guys like to start a debate and thats when you'll never win I learned the hard way and never got a speeding ticket on the E55.

He was def a *****, but what can you do when he's the one with the 'gun' lol

$298, it's bad but look on the bright side, in California a right-turn on red without coming to a complete stop can cost you up to $500 depending on where you are. Regardless though, bacon will always be bacon. They take from your paycheck, your store purchases, your property tax, and then they find ways to take more from your bank account. The lower ranks are nothing but armed thugs/glorified meter maids and you can youtube this all day.

Let me put things into perspective for you. When I lived in SF, I often crossed into the 'hood on the east end of the Bay bridge and every other 19-yr old hoodrat had an S500 land yacht. I kid you not, one of the neurosurgeons at my last organization told me he had a nephew who bought one with cigarettes and food stamps!

Keeping in mind that cops see pink slips in the rear view mirror so the more citations they write the farther back that image in the head becomes. They are citation happy these days. And fat cops=loser! Work out people.

sad to say but, in this economy, expect to see more tickets and less "nice cops" letting people off with a warning as its one of each municipalities main source of revenue generation... its a ad valorem tax in relation to the state of the economy in the local area (or more so the destitude of the state of the economy lol ) ...

I am saving up to move back to brasil and live like a king there on what would be crap money here

Exactly, it is a revenue source for them so the chances of you getting a warning when stopped, is the same odds of taking a virgin to prom night in hopes of getting a piece, unless you are driving a certified panty dropper like the E55.

If you have not noticed, generally, poor pay does not exactly attract the sharpest tools in the shed as employees. That is why it is hard for them to differentiate when someone has a squeaky clean record, they end up treating you like your are on the AMW list.
