I'm not trying to take credit away from anyone. I was just saying there have been benzes faster. Including heavier cars. Dads63 and SGC come to mind. Dodger63s car is almost as quick and its NA! I can't wait to see what 2012 holds in store for Benz racing!!! I know I'm lucky I started with a lighter platform but it was alot more than just writing a check, had to do some custom work and starting with an under 350HP car didn't help things either. Not to mention weak driveline parts

Mentioned quickest times so I didn't bring up trap speeds. I hope to see some benzes in the 140s this year!
The point is comparing the Weistec SC to an E55. Last I saw you trapped 125mph on dragtimes...but I guess it needs to be updated.

I sure DO hope more people get the ball rolling cause it's time to start making mods based on these vehicles current price range and really start pushing the limits.

That is legit right there Ahmad, rolled in right off the street, let the car cool and ripped mid 10's. A true mid 10 second street car that can back it up at the track.

Yes I understand. Can't wait for the Weistec blower to be released for the E55! Game changer! And yes it hasn't been updated. The last time I ran my car was in Nov 2010 and only made 2 passes back to back then packed it up. I couldn't launch my car hard back then (axles snap like twigs on a hard launch) so I broke the record by 10am without launching off the stall and then enjoyed watching and helping people race. I didn't run my car at all last season but I plan on being back in 2012 and helping others along the way

First pass of the day back up by a 10.57

The w212 E63 equipped with the MCT transmission can handle 1000hp and 1000nm

The Weistec 63s are making more than 700Nm at the wheels let alone at the gearbox, I wonder how they would handle it. The CLK63 doesn't have the MCT. Did JRCart do anything to the gearbox?

It doesn't mean that after 700nm the transmission will explode. It means that after 700nm anything can happen, like exploding OR lasting forever.

GT-ER, it looks like you stopped believing in the great 55s .. I would like to see lowprofile car runs with ported head, then for sure you will change your mind completely, not to mention the mighty CL55 of Exotic-Metal

Are you sure you quoted the right thing? LOL.

I have not stopped believing in the E55...I am however kind of disappointed that it has been a bit of a lazy platform. I mean, when I had the Pontiac Grand Prix there were MILLIONS of mods for it and you had guys with grand prix's running 8's and 9's! Heck, I turbo'd my GP and ran mid 12's for less that what my wheels and tires cost for my E55...lol.

I hope to see bigger and better things in 2012 and I'm anxiously waiting for all these new projects to come along. We need better intercoolers that don't cost 1/3 the price of the vehicle and we need more parts in general and prices that are more "down to earth". These aren't $100K cars anymore...they are $30K cars.

But I still destroy 90% of the cars around me so I'm happy.

I agree with you, this platform just didn't receive the attention it should have. It has so much potential but companies just aren't interested in R&D for it. Maybe because the market isn't huge. The thing is companies promise things then just abandon them. Look at the evoSport Top Mounts which we have heard NOTHING about recently. I think the platform has been a huge success considering we don't have the crazy options LS engines for example have. Buying short blocks off the shelf and what not.

I think Ahmad misunderstood since you answered the question regarding the 7 spd in the CLK63 and not the 5 spd in our cars and therefore thought you had lost faith in the platform

I agree with you on the cost part .. it is a little bit overpriced in some mods maybe due to limited numbers of competitive company, sourcing the material, and labor charges, plus some other facts, could be R&D (although some ideas don't need that complicated R&D) ..

If the mod is available to more users, the vendor will make more money in the long term view than mods available to few or limited number of people due to high or overpricing matter.
