Kind of a like a moped maybe.... fun to ride but dont let anyone see you on it?
I actually really love the look of the Pan as its driven down the road... it always catches my eye and if you slap a set of 22's on it its even better looking. I just love Porsche in general but Im biased. I was looking at a Pan Turbo S but went with the CLS63 TT instead... easier tunable platform with similar performance and marginally cheaper... (50k)

i thought the pan was ugly too when it came out, but the Turbos really do look good in person. the performance is amazing thanks to AWD. highly tunable with real/respected tuners not overnight hacks. EPL, GIAC, EvoMS, Switzer .... lots of choices. May be getting one of these for the wifey in few years when turbos drop in price a bit. Price tag of new one is high. For that price I would rather get a used 997tt and a CLS63 daily

As you probably know, the AWD drive is a HUGE advantage for the Panamera Turbo. With launch control a stock Panamera Turbo is an 11 second car...everytime out.
There are now a bunch of your normal Porsche tuners out there with tuning and exhaust upgrades...including Switzer... AWE/GIAC...Techart...etc.
Here is some interesting data from a 6speed member who is running a tune:
http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/p...150-video.html
A thing to note on his standing start acceleration data...is that it doesn't look like he factored in a 1 foot rollout...which would likely knock down his 0-XXX times by about .25s.
Also, my old tuned CL65 did a best 8.45s 60-130mph...so this tuned Panamera Turbo S would smoke it up top. The tune makes a HUGE difference.
It will take drag radials to even approach those #'s with the new AMG V8 TT's.

No problem!
One other thing to consider is that PDK transmission is a limiting factor on increasing the power (as seen by the 997.2 TT crew). I know that guy claimed his Panamera Turbo dyno'ed 600hp (maybe he was talking crank after converting from a whp figure)...and I have seen Switzer throw out a 572awhp dyno chart... but there is some concern over the reliability of the PDK once it hits around 550awhp:

Had an opportunity to drive a turbo and I can say, controversial styling aside ( I actually like it its combination of raw power, handling and interior quality is second to none in my mind. A true four door sports car.
That said the only thing I need to know is it costs $160k/conversation.

Very fast.
More rear leg room than the E. Not that this is important to me.

my GM has a 2011 Turbo S and I have to say it ugly as sin IMO but that thing ROOLLLLLLSSSS out for a big *** 4 door. I took it down our industrial area and taught him how to use their Launch Control and that big wagon was at 155 mph very quick. I keep telling him he needs to have Funktion automotive in Leesburg tune it and see how more power they can get out of the stock turbos. Not my cup of tea but it is a blast to drive!

I love the Panamera Turbo. A buddy of mine has one, and the thing is amazing! I can see why people think its an ugly car (I like the look). But I guess I have a "thing" for ugly cars, my Z3MCoupe gets the whole "your car is ugly" treatment from time to time..

This forum is blind, biased and doesn't respect the sandwich making ability of chubby girls. The Panny is a ridiculous performer, like most chubby girls. One test drive on both and you'll be a believer. Just don't marry either.

sorry for a little late respond. my buddy got panamera turbo, first week it came out in the States. Worst quality ever. Car visited dealership numerous times for many problems. I would stay far away from this car. CLS TT is the way to go these days

I've totally fallen for the Panamera. All I had to do is see enough White ones with high end Option$$$$$$ and some mods (one of the rare cars that NEEDS mods to look right, IMO) on the road to understand the capabilities and MASSIVE presence of the design.
I checked out a Panamera V6 extensively, and even at $90K (light Options), with the base wheels, etc., when pulled side by side with my W212, my E absolutely destroyed it.... It actually made my E look 5x more expensive than it really is.
.... Now, and still, with the right Package/Color/Mods, the Panamera is the highest contender on my "If I were to switch cars list". It's currently my 2nd favorite Sedan (behind the E-Class), and money not being a factor, I like it more than the CLS (keep in mind, I cannot fit properly in a CLS since I'm too tall, as it's an extremely inefficient design).
.... Money being a factor, the Panny is an absolute ripoff, even though it's also commanding of a lot of that premium. With my own money, I'd have to only go Used on that.
