She's that nasty *** drinking **** that's into beastiality right? You probably have a poodle for a father. He had to be copraphagous to have a POS like you!
Quote: Wow, you actually just described your own mother! Good job, and on a public forum too! Jeesh, your child hood must have been horrible. Poor little kid. Anyways, I'm in Il.often. Look me up some time. But please, don't bring your mother.
The two of you need to take your argument to pm's and quit messing up decent threads.

Quote: Dont cut the liner !!! Just remove it --you will get more airflow -- and you can always put it back to OEM later.
I ended up cutting the bottom about 1 inches off the hoodliner - so as to fully expose the hood vent).

I then cut that black rubber seal, the seal that attaches to the car but touches the hood when the hood is closed (I hope I am making sense). I only cut the middle part section / the curvy party above the TB area. I am keeping it, in case I want to put it back.

Anyway, I was at a red light and with the background of the red brake light on the car in front of me I could see more of the engine heat - heat wave - coming out from the hood vent and area above the TB.

I have this flat, long flashlight that I put on top of the TB, closed the hood and then turned off my garage light. In the dark, I could clearly see the light through the hood vent and from under the hood through the area I cut away above the TB.

I then taped some toilet paper in certian spots above the vent and underneath the hood on the outside, in front of the windshield, where I cut the black rubber seal above the TB. I then took my shop vac and reversed it (so it would blow air) and you could see the toilet paper moving -showing the air flow or how the heat wave could be allowed to escape the engine area through the hood vent and the area above the TB.

This was not very scientific, but I know the engine area is definitly allowing the engine heat to escape. I am going to now jet hot coat my surge tanks and valve covers, in hopes of further reducing engine heat. Also, do I know if any of this will increase performance? No, I do not, but does it make me happy and keep me busy with my mod hobby - yes.

RAAAAAWR, hiss hiss. ... good question. Do u think it may work- help NA 63? I think I'd enjoy a lil more motor thunder even tho I don't get the sc whine and boost noise like ur 55s. Since I don't have Hot sc sitting up top I'd prob just take whole liner off. Liner is prob more for noise control... Rubber seal may have some genuine use for AC not sucking hot air. +1 pics! Please

You hear the whine more, but also hear more of the ticking these motors naturally make.

I removed the rain shield under the hood vent last night and all I can say is make sure you use safety glasses! I almost lost an eye when the plastic screws POPPED out!! It actually cut my forehead bad enough to make it bleed... haha fail! So now I have removed hood liner, rubber gaskets, rain guard and the plastic intake tube flaps (behind grill). I have not turned on my radio in a few weeks now because the sweet music of the blower.

Take that sum b_____h off along with the plastic covering tab by the hood vent. You will have a louder whine and better underhood temps.

Pointing out a thread that is 5 years old and tells you nothing definitive is pointless. I agree with OP, I would love to know if anyone with datalogging capabilites has noticed any difference?

I took mine off of my CL AMG. I can also vouch that this mod definitely makes the supercharger whine much more distinct

Really? Take off the plastic cover under the hood vent? Doesn't that help keep water out? If it'll make it sound nicer and still block water from coming into the engine bay area, I'll definitely remove it.
