I'm a bit undecided on this carbon fiber grill I got from the PIF thread (thanks tgoss!) vs. my painted black grill. Which do you like better?

I think I'll keep the CF one on for a while and see if it grows on me. It's definitely for aggressive looking than the stock grill.

CF is more functional although I would paint it to match the car.

tough to say with the flash pictures.
Take a couple in the sun light.
I had mine painted black chrome and then did matt black when the chips messed it up.
I prefer the black on black over my lighter choice.

I say throw Garys cf lip on there and keep the cf grille.

I like the CF and the lateral slats, I would just wish it had the center vertical slat still...

I personally like the black grille better. I'm sure you'd get a lil more air with the CF one though...

Yeah, that CF grille is gross. You should give it to me, I'll pay shipping.

Seriously, Black on black looks good. CF might pop for me or on a white 211.

If you have a lot of other cf parts on your car, then I think the cf grille will tie in.
But just looking at the grille and how it looks with the front part of the car, I think the same black color looks better. More subtle.
However, if you want the grille piece to stand out, then the cf will do that.
Either way, both choices sure beat the stock chrome look.
I had my grille painted black to match the black color of the car and had the badge removed and filled in and smoothed over. The flat hood badge is all that is needed. Turned out really sweet.
