Need the Mercedes logo cap for the engine cover

I had my car in the dealer to fix the pulley over the weekend and noticed that the mercedes circular logo cap on the engine cover was missing a few days ago. I called the dealer immediately and my SA told me the tech remembers putting it back on although he noticed it was loose and may have fallen off when driving. I don't see how it could have fallen off as there is a liner under the engine area.

I don't think they are willing to buy me a new cover since they haven't returned my calls or anything. Is there any way to just get this circular cap anywhere else? Or can I get a full engine cover for a decent price somewhere?

They don't sell the part separate from the engine cover. You can buy a trunk badge though and use that instead. I am in the same situation.

It happens. Wish they just sold the star.

Somebody on here glued one of the flat hood AMG badges on their engine cover hole and it looked amazing! It was the AMG city logo one.

I had old wheel caps from a C32 AMG and I took those apart. Use the star emblem from that and glue it in to the engine cover. Looks the business and was FREE

I need some info since every thread has broken photos (Screw you Photobucket)
So, I have a CLK 63 with the star missing from the cover. So, I get the star from a center wheel cap. Then what? What about the mesh? Is that obtainable and do I glue it together to the cover?

The M113K and M156 have totally different engine covers so the above info doesn't pertain to your car. I may have my old engine cover still (can't remember if it went out with last week's garbage). I'll check when I get home from work today. Mine broke, but the star piece on it was fine.

You can get a new cover for around $120 if you look online.

If my memory serves me correctly, the engine cover for the M156 was around $200. Yes...$200 for a piece of plastic.
Well if anyone needs a M156 engine cover without the star, to replace their cracked one, I have for sale. Only reasonable offers will be accepted.
PM if interested.

I bought a brand new one online for $117 shipped.

Not sure why that link is directing to mbwholesalepartsonline. It's cheaper if you go to www.genuinenewparts.com (I got mine from them). The part number is 156-010-04-67.
