Finally, It has begun.....
I've had the Eurocharged stage 3 and a few other things sitting in my garage for a little while now. My machanic, who is also my father-in-law, has been in Puerto Rico for the last 6 months and has just recently returned. Thank God! All the shops I've talked to were either charging to much or didn't know what they were doing when it came to an AMG. Now, finally we can get the show on the road.
About a month ago my IC pump finally died. I could feel the loss of power in my car. As well, the car would go into limp mode after a few runs. It never did that before. I couldn't stand having the Meziere pump in my hands and not in the car. Between work and my kids, I really didn't have the time to install the pump and HE.
Finally, this past weekend, me and my father-in-law installed the EC heat exchanger and Meziere pump. We also wired the pump to run when the key is in the on position (BIG THANKS to Shardul for answering my phone call and answering my questions). And damn, what a difference. It made me wonder how long my pump has been dead for.
Here are a couple pic of the install. Nothing different than what has already been posted (the search is always your friend). And I forgot to take one of the pump after install, sorry.
My car will be on the dyno next week to get stock numbers. And once I get Chawkins' drag set up, we will hit the track for stock times. After that is done then we will start the install of all the rest of the mods (this should be fun). And once everything is in, we will dyno again and hit the track over and over and over and over and over and...........you get the idea.
I will keep everyone posted with pics, video, dyno sheets, and time slips. There will be more to come.....

Do you happen to have a picture other wire you tapped for getting power when the key is in the on/run position? I need to switch mine to that instead for having it come on with the first click.
Sounds like you have a fun before and after project planned. Can't wait to read your progress.

Well I should be ok. Even though I do clinch my jaw a lot (old habit from boxing). Face might be sore from grinning to much, but that's about it.
How ever I am really looking forward to waking up the demon inside this engine. I want to see what she can do.
And Shardul told me which wire to tap into. Shardul is awesome and is always helping members here with what they need. A true enthusiast.

I would've snatched up that drag setup if I had gotten to Chawkins thread first! I believe it may be the same type of setup that one of the old school members had. Forrest has this setup as well, and was kind enough to let me borrow it. Trust me when I say you will thoroughly enjoy it!

Ill delve into that before my next trip to the strip.
