Anyone ever have a noise from the HVAC blower fan?

I have a cricket chirp like noise coming from just above the passengers feet under the dash. Goes away when I turn the HVAC system off, and I believe its the blower motor. It even goes away from hitting the brakes or accelerating a lil harder. I'm hoping I can pull it apart and adjust it a lil somehow and make it stop. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this area at all and if I should know anything before jumping in.

Hi BBSS,

I tried the lubrication thing, but that didn't last long .
I ended up replacing the Behr blower fan assembly during normal maintenance. It cost me around 330 euros, including work. I can say it was really worth it!

Kind regards,

Vigoras

Lubricated mine as well which did nothing. Mine is the motor brushes. Went away with time as geometry changed and resonance point shifted

Car free at the moment
Every w211 I've owned has needed a new blower motor around 70K miles.

Mine chirps like crazy. Drives me nuts. I use the heat full blast until I'm about to sweat to death and cut it off until I'm about to freeze to death. I can't wait for the summer when I can roll down the windows

Mine was chirping from rust on the shaft of the fan. I took it out, sanded off the rust, oiled it and put it back. It's been good for a year so far.

I followed the instructions in the link above.
