It's SCARY what it feels like. Current temperature is 56 here in LA. I normally drive like a grandma but I decided to have some fun tonight.
The thing pulls, and pulls, and pulls and pulls. In first gear, you are pinned to the back of your seat. Period. In second, because you're already going fast, the car starts to give you a warp tunnel feel. Everything around me is literally a mesh of objects flying by. By the time you hit third, you are breaking numerous laws in most states.
There was a discussion here about the 180mm and cold weather. In the heat, even with a HE, its fast but nothing like when you get a bit of climate. At WOT the engine screams and my favorite part, it doesn't feel at ALL like there's an end to it. I'm sure that somewhere above 120-130 it starts to ease up but let me tell you, up to 90, it is constant juice.
Anyways, if you got cold where you are get out there and drive it!
On a side note, my mods are mild by most standards. I can only imagine what you MODDED guys go through!![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

Wow! Sounds sick
I am going to hop on the sale going on from eurocharged and get my ecu tuned, but in the future would like to do much more. I know you did the ecu only from what I can remember, was it noticeably different?

^ It was! You will feel the difference just with the tune FOR SURE. Check the classifieds, I'm sure someone has a good used pulley they'll sell you for a good price. Pulley AND tune and you will have a smile on your face, ear to ear.

cold days was the best time to drove my 55k, our heat 50C in summer really kills this engine, but in winter when it goes to 12 - 17C after mid-night, it was a joy of life.
i just like how TT are not affected alot by hot weather, as my CLS IATs now never reach 50C @ WOT until the limiter hits 250km.
however, i read in a manual that the new 63TT have two options from factory, one has an extra H/E for hot climate weather, but i don't know how to see it.

Yes, it does feel pretty crazy...and your "warp tunnel" feeling describes it well.
FWIW: I raced a stock E55 about a month ago and utterly annihilated it. It felt awesome...lol.

Hey V, that warp tunnel feeling gets multiplied when you're wearing a helmet with the visor down. It'll look dumb on the streets but you have to try it at least once on a deserted road. Winter is freaken fun down here although I do miss the year-round cooler air up north.

^ Haha yeah!
Bro, if the Beverly Hills Police Department pulled me over in my car, with a racing helmet on, it would be straight shot to jail. No pass "GO", no collect $200, jail. It would be funny as hell actually to do it. Put on a racing suit, helmet, gloves, and pull up to a cruiser at a red light...

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Getting an updated tune for my new injectors and new pulley next week, but went out this evening and yes, the weather is FI favorable out here in SoCa. At a solid 60 car lost traction and started to go sideways a little. Actually shocked me for a second. Enjoy the cool weather.

I am taking advantage of the Black Friday sale at EC as well... and I already have on order the 180mm pulley kit... however, I never have plans to install headers or anything else on the car... so is the 180mm overkill? Would I be better off doing the 170mm if I'm never going to do headers or TB or anything like that?

It is a pretty good feeling when you punch it in 35 degree weather. It doesn't stop pulling pretty amazing. I'm thinking another it makes another 20 whp in the cooler weather, over the summer weather.

Cali FTW!!
It is mid 40s at nighttime here in the Bay Area. And my car is a different animal in that weather. I can only imagine how cool my supercharger will be after I separate my coolant system.
